I just changed my brake disc, not only the braking power is back, but the screeching sound is gone too.

I'm not sure if it's meant for spec3, but I Changed to the arashi brake disc, cos it's cheaper than the original ones. Looks good too. :)

So far I only found the original ones, and the arashi ones.

So how much you brought the arashi front and rear?

The best type of motorcycle brake pad to use depends on the type of use.Care must be taken, as with all race pads when being used on the road, as if they are not run at elevated temperatures they can display a very high pad and disc wear rate.

For road applications and race applications that do not generate continuously high brake temperatures (such as the TT) sintered pads offer a number of benefits, the main one being its ability to give very high friction (braking power) at low temperature. Organic and Ceramic compounds are also suitable for this type of application.

Care must be taken when choosing the sintered pads for your particular application, as the huge variance between different manufacturer's products means that not all sintered pads are suitable for use with Iron rotors as excessive wear may occur.

The main disadvantage of sintered pads is the high heat transfer to the brake caliper, which can lead to brake fluid overheating.

EBC brake pads FA265HH(Front X 2) and FA174(Rear X 1)

just changed a pair of EBC brake pad on my spec 1.

they use FA265HH instead of FA296HH which u mentioned in previous post.

i asked them and they say vtec 1~3 all use same front pad. only rear is different.

i tried to see if they carry FA296HH but none. so i went ahead with FA265HH.

just a slight tap on my front pad is enough to slow down alot compared to my previous WP brake pad.

may i know how long it takes to season brake pads?

Yamaha x1

Honda super 4 spec 1

Need some advise:

I've changed my front brake disc to arashi brake disc and also changed my brake pad too. Braking was fine during dry period. However, when it rains, the front brake is useless unless I press the brake lever harder. And when it brakes, it has a jerking effect and there are nice coming out from the front. What could be the problem?

during raining, it is common that the brake is ineffective.

jerking is usually due disc rotating irregularly but u just change new disc so maybe is wheel bearing?

There something wrong with my front brakes, when i brake its like jerking, when to mechanic n check he say my wheel bearing okay and from the looks if it my brake disc also look fine dnt look out of shape. Dnt knw how to solve this problem should i try n bleed my brake fluid and have it change? Or i must change the brake disc? Theres this metal rubbing sound time to time on my right brake disc

Did you just change new tyre and balancing of rim? If yes, then maybe the pad still remember the pattern of yr disc.

Some time alittle misaligned of disc can cause the jerking effect during braking.

Hi guys, anyone experiencing brake pads rubbing against the brake disc when the wheel is rotating? i just replaced my brake pads as my old brake pads is worn out and i thought the sound is due to my worn out brake pads however the sound still persists even with new brake pads. after that i replaced my brake fluid but there is still no improvement. anyone as any idea what can be done?

If you want better braking power then you can change to aftermarket brake hose
