Join us for a Sunday short trip around JB. We'll explore the J4 road a bit to warm up, then head a bit more to the North towards the Recreational Forest, and come back to Bukit Indah A&W for lunch before coming back to Singapore in the early afternoon.

Since this is not exactly a short trip, i suggest you guys recce near woodlands side jb, and purchase a hotlink card. Their 3g coverage is quite good, and smart phones can share their 3g network via wifi.

 

Also, another piece of advice before you guys move off, please ensure that everyone has call roaming activated, and share your numbers. Goes without saying that your numbers saved should start with +65. Dont want any mishaps happening.

I don't know that everyone will be able to turn roaming on. I for one will not, it's just too expensive, and I'd have to kill anything that would need data to make sure I'm only billed when I use the phone to make a call. I'd rather leave the roaming off on the phone. But then again, I never tried it, so maybe I should, to see how much exactly it would cost - previous experiences with Singtel roaming were not good memories..

 

I am however looking to purchase a malaysia pre paid card, either with 3G capability or just 2G, and intend to put it in a second phone - maybe some old phone or something cheap.

Data roaming is expensive, true, but smart phones should be able to turn that feature off. Call roaming is paid by usage, and perhaps the one off activation cost.

 

I know that singtel and starhub has roaming for their prepaids.

some facts 4 u guys.

 

under 3 days mc no need police report, which would mean TP might not investigate. so if the accident is in ur favour, die die go hospital A&E, if it's not, go GP n settle ur own self. A&E no matter what at least 3 days MC, even if u have headache only.

 

if ur vehicle is in police compound, take out ASAP. 1 day $20.

 

TP will send you a letter asking you to claim your vehicle by a certain date.. after the date stated on letter, its $20 a day..

 

the important thing is u know a good workshop who can handle all these things to u transparent. HKL is good in this. ah keong explains everything clearly, what to do, what not to do. i'm not trying to advertise them, glzco has good feedback, he recomm me, speed i believe goes to him also, ask his feedback. i believe u know mine after telling u all these.

 

any qn just ask, i try my best to answer.

 

ah keong shld give me commission for recommending him so many people.. lol.. but no he does not.. in any case, ah keong is very transparent in what he does with your documents and with other parties and insurance company.. so no wrong about going to him.. he's great at this matters.. as long as you don't lie and tell him the truth..

 

arthur was goin str8..the car was turnin right..although he horned n beamed..the car still banged him. bike was towed and TP IO came to collect statement. in trivial cases when no ambulance or police are called, wun need TP IO statement, juz make police report will do.

 

after arthur did his TP IO statement, he went to make a police report for claimin purposes. IDAC will require a copy of the police report for processing. arthur found out from TP IO dat the driver of the car was on alcohol although not on the limit. hence, e driver's chances of winnin is slim. probably he will be slapped wif a fine and some demerit points. insurance only covers a person whom is at dat time not drunk nor insane, hence the driver probably gotta pay arthur's bike n injury damages out of his own pocket on top of any damages to his own car.

 

arthur's bike has been towed to TP Compound. btw..if u collect it on ur own, u will have to pay $20/day rate..but if go by bikeshop, usually they will let go at a cheap

 

if he's charged, arthur's case is a definite win no? the only prob is how is the driver going to pay for the claims since its coming right out of his own pocket..

 

dun be fooled...sumtimes it may be fake..my case got RED LIGHT CAMERA summore..but it was for the opposite lane..crap rite..i told dat to the IO also no use..

 

red light camera activate only when ppl dash red light? and i tink its activated only ~0.5-1 secs after the red light goes on..

 

if never remember wrong right after the customs there is a esso station

maybe that can be the meeting point?

i super long never go through 2nd link already...

 

after 2nd link got a few petrol stations.. which is straight ahead after we pass customs.. and its relatively easy to spot.. but i tink we shld meet up at tuas SPC for those who are coming.. cuz.... avoid less confusion.. but those who know the way and would like to go ahead.. just inform o'ren earlier so she can account for it..

 

and for Pulsarians who need or wish for custom front fender with longer tail to protect the engine from easily to get dirty ... hmm you can get this .. hehehee
