Just want to share something from another thread on SBF, to remind people about the usefulness of protective gear:

"people who know me know that i got into an accident sometime back, self skid.

just wanna highlight that my gear did save me from much more serious injury.

i had on armor jacket and FF only, and i managed to walk away from the skid with sprained wrists. if i was wearing gloves, i pretty sure i would be unscratched.

so ATGATT. "

You gear up for the fall, not for the ride. Tell yourself that when you decide to get on the bike wearing just a t-shirt ...

The signal light auto cancel thing is in between the fork .. Somewhere behind the license plate.. It'll resembles a sensor.. Faces left and right at an angle.. You'll recognize it once you spot it..

sorry pic took at nite ... the sensor is the where the bright light from my torch light focus on it ...

Is it the little plastic piece that is screwed with the Plate holder , at the same location ? The plastic piece has a wire that goes out from it to some brown connector - is that it ? If that's it, I double checked it, unplugged and replugged it but still no improvement...

alamak, 3am go take pics of ur bike :faint:

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

nice :thumb:

i rem reading somewhere a biker himself who got pillion by his brother or something decided not to wear gloves, as he feel that it's a short distance n his brother is experienced. he was wrong. his brother fell, n together with him, he bruised his hands to break the fall.

so, even for ur pillion, get them to wear safety gears too.

@O'Ren i just recalled you mentioned abt condensation in ur gopro water proof casing.. do you have a dry cabinet at home? if i'm not wrong, the waterproof casing also has rubber o-rings to prevent water from going in.. you can put the silicon pack into the dry cabinet to recharge them after each use.. check the o rings for dust and dirt too.. clean them and apply silicon greases slightly over the ring to maintain its condition.. dun leave the o-rings in the water proof casing.. (like when its in use) or the o-rings will go out of shape.. place all the items in the dry cabinet and it shld be good as new when you take them out for use.. dunoe if i'm being confusing here but i tink you'll understand what i mean since you play ard with cameras too.. :cheeky: bottom line, silicon grease and a dry cabinet is your best friend! especially in singapore whr the weather is humid, it'll perfect condition for fungus to grow everywhere and degrades your rubber o-ring if nt taken care properly fast..
