Safety advices/tips for riders while on the road.

1) When you’re view is blocked while at a cross junction, do not immediately dash when the light turns green. Look out for (taxi)drivers from your left who are making a right turn even when their green arrow has stopped.

2) Do not speed while you are in the middle of 2 lanes in a traffic jam full of cars. Look out for idiots trying to change lane abruptly(even without signaling) Be prepared to break always.

3) Avoid riding behind taxi drivers especially while on the left lane as they might e-brake just to get their customers.

4) Always give your fullest concentration while riding especially on the expressway where your speed is at its peak. Look out for bends, obstacles, rocks or items on the ground that may cause you to lose your balance.

5) Try to pull down your helmet visor when riding under trees as the seeds may drop on your face causing you to lose balance.

6) Put on gloves at the very least, when accidents happen, you would instinctively use your palms to brace the fall.

7) Ride slow in an open carpark as there might be idiots who move out of their lots without checking blindspots.

8) Pull down helmet visor when riding near heavy vehicles as the sand/etc might blind your eyes temporarily.

9) Never stray your vision away from what’s in front of you for more than 2 seconds.

10) Keep checking your mirrors every 5 seconds to be aware of what is going on behind you.

I typed this out in word document but I have no idea how to attach it here.. I think it would be good to have a compilation of do's and dont's on the road cause these are things that we experienced and managed to avoid any accidents. It would be good to prepare yourself for one of the scenarios which might happen to anyone, and good for new riders.

Would be better to compile through word document. Those are just my share.

I dont think loose chain affects RPM at all. I generally find my RPM varies in the range of 0.5k - 1k for a particular speed. Its never exact. It varies depending on the load on the bike like uphill, downhill, wind direction etc. Did you change your engine oil recently?

Car engine oil can use, except that some car EO's contain friction modifiers to reduce the friction in cars engines. In our bike, like most low CC bikes the engine oil also serves the purpose of lubricating the clutch.

Friction modifiers is good for the engine but bad for the clutch hence car EO's that contain friction modifiers can cause clutch slippage in our bikes.

There is some discussion going on about using Heavy Duty Engine Oils, that are used in trucks for our bikes. It seems they work well on bikes. More info on the discussion here :

Hello. Gosh its been ages i read the forum. Read 30 over pages at work today, on my phone. Eyes so tired i gave up reading the remaining 20 or so pages.

Bummer i missed out on the gear sock mo. Would love that.

Anyway what brought me here is that yesterday i went for servicing at um. Roughly around 4 plus. I saw this white p200. Damn nice! White sinnob, silver handle grips. You were with your gf i suppose both white helmets. Aftermarket exhaust pipe. Then you were telling somebody about it. "got this guy la make friend with indon modify things" or something along those lines.

If you're a forumer and reading this... I wantto know where you got your side mirrors? And what's the deal with the exhaust pipe?

he is the one who keep posting not 1 smiley but ..... many many smileys kekekekkekeke

and at btwo earlier he treted a cup of teh tarik ..... kakakakakkaka ....

to my smiley white P200 owner ..... I thank you! ....... kekekekeee

soon he not only treat one cup liao.. need treat many many many! lol..

I use an underwater camera housing for diving so I'm a bit used to o-rings and all that stuff you have to do to rep your camera before diving (i.e that huuuge amount of time you have to spend on it to avoid destrying your camera..).

So I treat my gopro the same way. I do not have a dry cabinet - although since I moved in upp bukit timah, I found mold on my SLR bag which made me go  :gun::gun::gun::gun: So I thought I should get a dry cabinet.

But for the gorpo, the problem is the air trapped inside the casing once sealed. Singapore air is very humid. The humidity evaporates once the camera's battery heats up. To avoid this from happening I should trap dry air - so either air con or maybe fridge air. If I leave the casing in the dry cabinet, would it be enough ?

nv nv nv nv nv use cold air! definitely fogs up immediately if you go out in the hot weather.. leaving it in the dry cabinet is the best.. your silica gel beads too.. i have like tons of packs at home.. haha.. you know those small packs of silica beads when you buy a new bag or what.. you can use those too.. no need specially buy.. heh.. i use them all the time in my dive housing.. nv fails.. :thumb:

you can go UM and search by the side of the shop for a useless headlight casing.. lol.. they usually have tons lying ard the shop.. haha.. i also look ard for parts which i can use..

hmmm.. yes... fredd is right.. we can use charcoal.. @O'Ren you know normal charcoal.. its very dry by nature.. you can pack it into tissue paper or a very small zip lock.. those really small zip lock packs.. can buy from beach road.. or daiso shld have also.. poke a few holes in them.. and wala... good absorbent for moisture in your casing.. @Fredd this is really a good suggestion!
