@Lanzer: sorry, didn't mean to do any suspense, hate that ! It's GoPro mounts. MJ got an adapter to fit any camera with a tripod screw functionality, so with that, he can use the whole range of GoPro mounts, and mount in any camera he wants

I dont think you can take it out yourself. For that you need to open the crankcase side cover, before that drain out all the EO and while fitting it back make sure that the gasket is perfectly seated or else oil leak Normally mechanics in India just use a new gasket everytime they open the side cover.

Hi guys! Gonna go down get my own pulsar in a couple of hours time!! Can't freaking wait lah! Thanks to those of you who offered to follow me along . Will be going down to a couple of places, including Universal Motors, just to recce and compare prices and stuff.

 

Walao ehhhh.. I got so many ideas for that bike! But I'm afraid it might be limited by the size of my wallet. Haha.

 

BTW, i saw bro mjbs64's bike.. Swee lah. Where did you get that bellypan fairing and headlight from bro? And how much? And any idea for sideboxes and costs guys? And can I also request to the bike shop that i'm buying from to cut the mudguard and put a smaller one line license plate?

IU question. My fazer has an out of warranty old version IU. My bajaj is on its fourth IU, latest 3 new version. The gentleman at the IU instpection center remarks that the new IU units are fragile, and the bajaj pulsar's vibrations often destroys the new IU internals. The old IU never has that problem, so my question is this:

 

Will it be expensive for me to transfer the IU from one vehicle to another? Deregister both units, and reregister the units to the other bike?

i: don't want you to spend more money

ii: they feel need not to cos not necessary based on experienced

 

but like me I will still ask them cos my bike I want to see it my self if it's due time to check and clean.

Happens to me before on my master cylinder where that time ah long based on experienced said to me no need also cos my bike just 1 yr .. .

but I insisted and asked him to just open it and see .. and walao after he opened it .. my brake fluid so black and the container full of sludge!! ..

no wonder my front brake not so effective during ride .. from there lesson learnt .. manual book comes in handy!! ...

 

hmm you can clean it during your next eo interval lah .. since you just change your eo ... like revhappy stated .... you need to standby the crankcase gasket incase your gasket spoilt during the time you open it.

 

For me I'm using back the old one since it still in good shape during my last visit when Ah Tek open up to change my clutch plate spring.

Let me know if you need any help shopping around. Spent so much time looking for my protective gear i think I know all the shops that sell anything that can protect a rider

I have an airbag vest (sleeveless vest) I got at the Safe Ride Event 2010 - never tried it. Too bulky for the protection it gives (must wear elbow guards or normal jacket below). Happy to bring it to the BTWO tomorrow if you want to check it out.
