you might find it easier to remove the link when you pull the chain links closer. a bit of wire helps. or a supple hand, with palm and last two fingers grabbing one end, and thumb, index and rim fingers grabbing the other.

if it is coming from the lower engine, and its specific to the fifth gear, then i suggest you ask yourself for how long you wish to ride this bike. the repairs will be costly.

If it costs up to 200$ I dont mind getting it fixed. But anything more than that, I will just live with it and ride the bike untill another 6 months and then sell it.

I thought u were kidding haha ;) but i'd love to do it someday, anyway with that kinda expense my priority is to do Haj* first :)

Haj* - for the non muslims, Haj is a pilgrimage to the holy city of makkah in Saudi Arabia and it becomes compulsory once u have the means to do it, which is usually celebrated as hari raya haj)

just to open up already cost $200 o_O

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Oh Really? What could be the approximate cost then, if the 5th gear or bearings need to be replaced?

dont know, if just the sound, i suspect is timing chain, ur 5th gear n gear shift clutch shouldn't cause a sound.

just be prep about $500-$800 (i'm over estimate), if u want to do an overhaul. it also depends what other worn out parts r found that need replace. if u bring ur own parts in, it'll also cut the cost by a lot. ;)

Bro, nice ad. But try to put more description like what the mileage is etc Just put a lot of stuff in the ad to make it look like you are true enthusiast and have taken of the bike well.

A nice example ad is this:

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/321681-2007-Pulsar-180-UG3-FBB-Plate-For-Good-Sale

Put it in the new classifieds section and also the garage sales section and singapore.gumtree.sg also.

If you are looking at 2.5k which is definitely possible since yours is UG3, you should place the ad at 2.8k and then people will anyways negotiate you down. There are lots of Indian expats who love this bike and are ready to pay the price(This was told to me by a bike trader) you should wait for them with lots of patience :)

All the best!

Thanks. Will update.

Not really due to accident. I bought it for my study and now it is of lesser use. Besides I have a car to commute.

Most of Garmin GPS maps can be updated free of cost. I own 1350, updated once. If you are buying for bike, then make sure it is water proof. Tom Tom also should be good make, however I am not sure about the updates.

Wow, thats really expensive. I can go to UM for checking only next sat. Till then I guess I will just putter around in 4th gear max 70 km/hr.

Buy those models which are supported in Singapore.

Technically speaking any GPS should accommodate any maps. However certain models are locked to prevent abuse.
