Decided not to fix the Hang Guard: don't want to part with my Rizoma weights. If someone wants it, it's yours for the same price i got it from MJ. Otherwise I'll sell it on the Garage Sale section.

I installed the handle bar riser. Definitely a change in the riding position. More upward. I have to try it for a few days and also with pillion to see how it feels, will report in a week or so. But the quality is good and it's easy to fix. :thumb:

Is there a switch for the handle guard or something for the Led?

No, it only comes with the wires, if you want a switch, you have to bring it when they install it so they can add it.

But I don't think you need it, if you tap into the ignition it's good enough, you want that ON all the time anyway don't you ?

Anyone knows where I can go to get custom made racks for my saddle bags ? Like a welder who has either experience with bikes, or not but is ok to make something out of photos/explainations.

I wonder if it would be cheaper to get them custom made, rather than use Givi ones for example. Also my bags have a sizing of their own, and I'm thinking of maye adding a small "L" bracket at the bottom of the rack to serve as a "step" for the bags to sit on...

So if you know where in Singapore I can go to find shop that can make stainless steel or aluminum stuff, please share :cheer:

@revhappy, I don't work anymore, that's why. When I was working, there was no way I could even get the groceries shopping done, let alone go to UM.. Don't worry, everyone who works a demanding job can only find free time on the WE ..

Went to SK to query on the frame/brackets for the saddle bags. Sorry Fredd, didn't check back to forum, had a few things to do this afternoon and went to SK after that.

Met William, one of the two bothers who own the shop. Very friendly and nice guy, we chatted a while about the different options available. Like I read on SBF, they are a bit expensive, but seem to do life lasting work with excellent steel quality.

Roughly to give others an idea of the cost, a frame for saddle bags is about $120-140 per side. Depending on the type of frame (rod or flat). This includes all the fixations of course, and also any holes or small tweaks you want to add to help attach your bags.

If you want to add a lower plate to the frame so the bag "sits" on it, count another $30 per side. But by doing that, you weight on the frame and on the bike more, so careful how much you load the bags.

For brackets for bigger bikes, or for boxes, prices start at $150 to $180-200 per side, and go up as you add fixation points and brackets/layers to the rack to make it stronger. Diameter of the rod used also plays a part in the price.

Overall, definitely more expensive than a factory made rack, but I believe with SK you can get exactly what you are looking for, and the quality is undeniable.

They can also move your signal lights if needed and fix them the way you want them, if they are in the way of your bags/boxes.

They can pretty much do any type of bracket, fixation bar, tail fixation, back plate for your bike's seat , racks or engine guard you can imagine !

Hope this helps Brandon and others who might be interested. I asked him tons of questions so ask me and maybe I have the answer. He's also happy to let you watch him do your rack and ask him questions as he works if you want to learn more or are curious to see the process.

You must count approx 1 day to leave the bike at his shop. Usually 1 day is what he asks for, but he says if not busy maybe in a few hours it can be done, depends on the other jobs he has that day. He can't take a job on the spot, usually he will give you an appointment for a few days later, when he has a slot free.

just came back from UM

was there since 1pm+

fix my leaking problem

is oil seal and changed mineral EO

fixed up my hand guards also

wired it to the ignition switch

the light on the guards are not bright as expected

you can easily swap with those LED strips from sim lim

for those who intend to fix up using the original bolts, not recommended as the bolts are too thin

might not be able to hold the weight of the guards...

message from ah teck to all sinnob users,

when you head down to UM for your next servicing, do ask the mech to thighten the 4 securing bolts of your sinnob...

when you first install the sinnob,it is tighten to the max but due to the paint on the sinnob and bolts starting to wear off, your bolts will be slightly loose
