I cant accelerate more than 4.5 - 5k RPM or 60km/h, vibration n noise really high.. i dont wana ride anymore, just left it at the car park saving the ride to go UM when i'm free (dont wana tow if it breaks down).. previously when I visited UM, from the noise ah tec said probably the clutch plate n some other stuff worn out and need to change, just to open the engine costs $120 or 150 something.. need to change my 5th Gear as well.. shifting house this weekend.. all expenses come together :'(

Thats sad bro. I guess your previous owner screwed up the bike.If you are changing the 5th gear, its as good as doing an full overhaul. Need to keep aside atleast 500$. But on the positive side, at the end of it you will have a bike as good new. :thumb:

Then you can just maintain it well and live it happily ever after :cheeky:

@mjbs64 >> Bro need to ask u sumting..after completed the Xado treatment, does it affect the EO level.? I noticed my EO level drop a bit though there's no visible leak seen.

Also , can I fill the Tora Tora Meslo...or wait to wait till the next EO change?

FYI, I already swap left protec coil & reinstall stock coil on the right side.

Now doing 85kph @ 7k rpm..a bit improvement from before when using both sides with protec coil..

Will double confirm again if I put back stock coils for both sides will get back to 80kph @ 6k rpm..

I thought Torah Torah Meslo (little green liquid in tiny bottle) goes in the fuel tank ? Doesn't matter is EO is changed or not.

It's the Xado packets and the Turbo White bottle with blue cap that go in the EO and preferably when the EO is new. Although for the Xado packets since it's every 250/300km or so you can add them anytime.

I am using both Protec coils and at 7rpm I can hit 98/100km per hour. Not as smooth as with stock ones but I don't have such a big difference as you do, maybe the age of the bike plays a role?

I am overall happy with both coils changed to protect because my average speed is below 80km/h, and I have lots of drops in speed (traffic lights, crossing small villages, road suddenly full of bends) and I need the bike to be torquing!

@alvinyansg I wanted to reply about the squeezing while having load, just to add more info :)

The bike is loaded with about 35kg in bags. (saddles + tank bag). Add to that the weight of both passengers, about 130kg.

If the bike stops or is very very slow almost stopping, I can't keep it balanced for more than a second with this weight. I have to put one them down and if it's longe timer, the second foot down. When I'm alone on the bike without luggage, I can control it and manoeuvre it easily. But with such weight, if I want to turn sharply, (there is no squeezing in a straight line in BKK traffic. Only play in and out of lanes), I'm sure I'll either hit a car or loose balance.

Cars don't leave space for bikes like in SG. They just stop and up to you to see if you can go through. Yesterday I saw kup kias ride over the pavement where pedestrian walk to overtake traffic.

Bikes are supposed to ride in the left lane. I was stopped by the police twice because I was riding in another lane. I did because it's hell on the left lane: imagine, buses stopping, taxis, pedestrians, trishaws, and TONS of kup kias speeding around like cockroaches. Imagine riding there for a few hours.. :faint:

It might be stating the obvious but you get used to riding in your own city and you have to learn new riding styles and habits when somewhere new, which you don't do naturally (even if you think you will !). You have to conciously make an effort.

Also, after what happened in the traffic jam before Penang (Georgetown), I decided to be more patient, not squeeze anymore unless there's an avenue for me to go through between cars and also to just stop, think and ask myself "is it more important to get out of here fast or to get our of here without a single scratch?". That worked and in the end, I got more time to observe how Thais ride and drive there, and to see more of what was happening around, which is also one of the reasons for this travel: discover how others live :thumb:

Bro, EO level going down is normal. Happened with both my previous pulsars. Just keep checking and top up. If rate of loss is really high like if it goes from Max to Min level in 2 weeks then need to overhaul. If it goes down a bit over a month then dont worry, just top up.

Also its not easy to accurately measure the level. If you just rode the bike it is different, if you just warm up and switch off it is different, 1 hour later its different and again if you leave the bike overnight it is different, haha

O'Ren..Tora Tora goes to the fuel tank..Tora Tora Meslo goes to the EO is the substitute for the white bottle with blue cap that smells terrible..
