How to I check if my coils are in good working condition ? Besides just looking for rust etc, is there a sure way to tell if the coil is still in tip top condition or needs to be changed ? (Voltage ??)

Here's my feedback:

 

- lets pick a date now, so people can see if they are free or not. Far enough for us to get good plane tickets prices but close enough to be something we look forward to

 

- do a research on plane tickets prices and ferry prices. Select the destination (Jakarta? Or somewhere else?). Give info with this post on both, so people can see if they can pay for it or not. (foreigners will have to add the visa price on top)

 

- do the same for lodging

 

- make suggestions for the program: what type of parts are we shopping for? Bajaj parts or aftermarket accessories? If we can all suggest a list, we can plan where to go. Ideally once parts list is done we can know how much it costs compared to in SG to make the trip even more attractive

 

- I'm game to liaise with Indo counterparts: I have no doubt they will be more than helpful and happy to welcome us, and they can help us plan a shop itinerary and maybe even other activities if we stay 3 days. They might also have suggestions for cheap accommodation. Gaban, let me know if you want to handle this by yourself or want help, I'll be happy to help.

There is high chance that the parts may fit P180 UG1,2,3,4 especially the block, but very unlikely that it will fit the P200. Then again I am just guessing.

haha, thanks bro, but its too low. UM charges 200$++ for the block alone and few of those parts is about 50-60$ each. I believe the gaskets alone will cost you 20$ .Typically anyone who does a top overhaul will spend 150$ on the Labor alone. On top of that you change just 1 or 2 parts also, with UM's prices the bill will be close to 350$. I think Hari recently did top overhaul and that was his bill and I dont think he changed anything major. Here's the link:

Thats what I was planning to do when the mechs told me about the cam chain noise. But for now the cam chain noise can be heard only during idling and doesnt affect performance. So I thinking of waiting untill something really breaksdown, as I have all the parts as insurance, haha. But I am also thinking of selling it off, if someone really needs them.
