Some bikes can take more abuse some can take less. Lets just say that if you pamper the pulsar, it will pamper you back. If you screw it, it will bite you in the back. Honda and Yamaha are not like that, they will still take care of you even if you screw it.

This forum all bike lovers so its natural pulsars are praised, but if you go out to UM and check out the regular folks who come there they will scold pulsar. Ofcourse they are not taking care of their bike properly, but other bikes owners are also not taking care but never scold their bike, why ah?

pulsar is a more sensitive bike...

the other brands also have their own problems...

just not broadcasted as much due to their brand...

do a little search and you will find them...

to be frank, older generation bikes do last longer as their parts are made to last longer...

don't ask why...

its a choice...

if you choose to get a pulsar, then be more sensitive to your bike and don't complain...

my 2 cents...

If you think that Pulsar is no good, you will always think that its no good.

If you think that other brands are better, then go with your gut feelings and go ahead.

At least, psychologically you will feel better :)

So there is no why :)

Thanks. Atleast somebody in this forum agreed that pulsar is sensitive bike, thats the only thing I was trying to get at :)

Bike lovers are different from normal riders. How to differentiate? A normal rider will start the bike and off he will go, wont care about even warming up for a minute atleast. He doesnt even know how much EO goes into the bike and how often to change it. He thinks transport bike rite, no need change EO frequently, 5000 kms will do. Haha, Pulsar is definitely not for such people.

It is good to have a buffer when overtaking. :)

if the top speed of the bike is 100km/hr, no matter how much torque the bike have, it will never be able to overtake another vehicle travelling at 100km/hr.

and it is also unsafe to overtake at the bike's top speed.

@Vonmuck if the vehicle is traveling at 100km/h, you have 2 choice...

1) Don't overtake...

2) Try to overtake and risk your life...

its the rider's choice to make...

to be frank, bajaj bikes are never built for top speed...

the 200NS and likely future bajaj bikes will not be built for top speed as well...

yes the 200NS and future bajaj bikes will have improved power and speed but bajaj will still put FC as one of their top priority...

FC depends on a lot of factors...

Tank is 12L...

do call UMPL for more info on the pricing...

I know the limitation of 2B bikes.

Which is the reason i asked in the first place whether the bike can overtake comfortably and safely at expressway speed.

Simple question just require a simple answer.

Slow down abit, smell the air and enjoy the scenery.

Yea bro. To answer u. Slow moving cars to cars moving at about 80-90kmph. Should be no problem. But still do a proper lane change and check blind spots.

For faster moving car, why not just keep a safe distance and tag along behind. :) to be safe.

chill bro...

just sharing what we know...

for your qns of comfortable overtaking there is no answer cause nobody tested it yet...

as for your mention of expressway speed, each individual is different...

a driver/rider may drive/ride at 120km/h another may drive/ride at 80-90km/h...

that will be the expressway speed they will perceive...

its up to individual...

from our experience from current versions, riding at 90-100km/h should not be a problem...

from your previous post of speed of 110-120km/h, yes can be achieved on our current versions...

but not recommended...

LOVE TO CRUISE AT 105KMH. There where i feel engines running good. Not stressed. And comfortable! Rpm at 7k.

And changed rear to 140/70. Not much difference.. But ohhmy can hit 125kmh (flat road)easily with just twist of throttle. Never tried top speed as with two sideboxes. Hekhekhek. Not trying to sound racer or bragging abot top speed but just facts and numbers. I feel quite dangerous with the new setup. As i always exceed rhe speed limit easily on normal roads. Like 70-80kmh. And need to control throttle. Like abit only. Less then 1/4 on normal roads. And like half on exp. still keeping track of fc.

as mentioned before ... 140/70 has the almost same as stock 120/80 on rear .... using sinnob 15T39 helps its torque n power by a little from stock 14T38 .. :)

to balance ur set up 140/70 rear wise u change ur front to 100/80 or even 110 if possible....

yes with stock set up 125km is no issues .... :)

Thanks guys for sharing the precious valuable experience/knowledge.

Appreciated.

I am worried about safety too.

That is why i ask whether is it comfortable/safe for our expressway overtaking speed.

Why did i mention 110km-120km/hr whilst overtaking?

your 120km/hr could be a car's 90-95km/hr.

1) Smaller bikes' speedometer is usually overrated and highly inaccurate especially at high speed. (test it out with a GPS and check your actual speed)

2) Vehicles moving at 80-90km/hr, you have to travel faster to overtake smoothly and safely.

There is no need to tell me torque vs top speed vs bhp etc all those.

I have rode enough bikes to know, from a Phantom TA200 to a Ducati Diavel.

I am a bike enthusiastic and have rode/test drive quite a number of different bikes.

All 2 wheels, 50cc or 1800cc gets my attention! :thumb:

Let's talk/discuss what we love most, bikes and riding. :)

Today, while exiting pie to tampines ave 5 exit, there is speed display.

My pulsar 200 meter was showing 50 and the speed display was showing 45.

My front tyre is bridgestone 90/80 which is lower circumference than the stock 90/90

Those of you riding P200 and on bridgestone tyres are actually riding at 5-8km/hr slower than you think you are, kekekeke

BTW my bridgestone tyres have hardenned I guess, while changing lanes, if the road surface is uneven, then I feel an awkward kind of wobble. Front has worn 50% and rear has worn out almost 80% so rear can see only a bit of the center groove remaining.

My handlebar also wobbles at certain low speeds like 50-60 especially when I close throttle and do engine braking, but that is a different issue(I guess steering cone bearings)

My brake calipers are still holding the brake rotor a bit so front wheel doesnt rotate as freely as it should, but I have no issues revving the bike upto 6k rpm(90k/hr) but beyond that is a struggle.

So I have quite a few issues to sort out there. :)

This morning I went to Orchard road to get my Ipad serviced. I decided to park at centerpoint mall, since its free for bikes. The MSCP slope that goes to the 4 floor parking is very very steep and scared the **** out of me, with all the wobbling issues my bike has got(maybe only psychological). It was a big sigh of relief when I reached the top. After reaching the top I didnt see any bike parking slots, maybe bike parking slots are in the basement parking and that stupid crazy slope is only meant for 4 wheels?
