Hey revoltac, do u recommend the 200ns to new riders?

Any experience with excessive vibrations or clutch problems?

Yes i do.. I just ride the bike for few days only. I can only say the vibration is much lesser compare to my previous bike.

Whilst everyone has a preference for their running in methods, I would urge you to check with UM on the factory recommended oil change intervals. The last thing you want is for UM to void your warranty for not following their recommendations.

In fact 1st service at 700km is too early....normally we do it 1000km....then 2000km....then every 5000km...rite....having ride 200NS....can tell this bike very durable and maintenance quite easy...after the 3rd service.....the next and future oil&filter change can do it ourself.....just go buy the oil filter that's it.....

Running in as long as dun over 100km is fine oredi......56km very slow leh

just out of curiosity, your reference to 'we' refers to... ?

Hi I need some help with my pulsar 180 ug2. Got it a week ago and have been facing some problems. Sometimes, the bike jumps, as in literally violent thrusts forward in 2nd gear onwards. When I close the throttle TO a little, it stops jumping. It happened when I was riding back last night, I stopped by the road, kicked down couple of times, kicking down even after 1st gear, tried moving off again, then it got smooth. This usually happens at traffic lights when I am moving off. Is it that my bike is not getting into gear properly? Or something is wrong with the piston or smth? I know little about the mechanics of bikes and would appreciate help from some seniors here. The fuel tank is completely full by the way. Most importantly, am I looking at some high cost to solve this problem?

Strongly suggest you get your bike back to UM. Get the mechs to check out this issue. Could be a number of issues. But not going to speculate.

For running in, i travelled from base 60km/h and every oil change i increase +10 for every oil+oil filter change i increase +20km/h.

Changed my

oil + oil filter @100km(80km/h)

oil @ 1000km(90km/h)

oil+oil filter @ 2000km(110km/h)

oil @ 4500 km(120km/h)

oil + oil filter @ 7500(140km/h)

oil @ 10000km(140km/h onwards) ** Max speed

awaiting next oil+ oil filter change @ 15000 km

According to the mechanic, my engine is not only working darn well, it has excelled other pulsar even though my mileage is one of the highest.

So just sharing with you guys what i did.

Does your engine produce a sandy type of sound? If yes.. time for overhaul

Never heard of this kind of issue before. But I dont think its a big issue. Maybe the fuel delivery is not smooth, could be problem with the carb I guess.

Update on my problem. Mech said that the diaphragm was damaged, air couldn't effectively go in. So I had to change that. And they cleaned my carb. So far engine is running smoothly.

visited UM today as the left side pillion footrest was literally bending downwards when pressed hard with hand...imagine when pillion step on it to get up the bike.....wife nearly slipped and fell while getting up....the 2 white shirts was helpful.....when eventually they could not fix the footrest after trying...they dismantle the whole set from another new display bike and change for me.....that thumbs up......well I told them this is inherent design fault and my right side is going soft already....although not visible......told them get ready to modify for me cause eventually will be going back to them for the right side......see how things goes lor

the issue is that Bajaj had used rubber in the footrest....might as well metal touch metal.....long lasting

Maybe too much speed?

Any pics of the foot peg bending downwards?

Hmmm...

First time hear bend downwards...

Do check if its just the nut not tighten or alr loosen due to riding...

UM guys inspected the area of the pillion footrest, something to do with the rubber part....take for example others like Honda/Yamaha....nothing...basically metal touches metal....strong n lasting...........but then the rider's footrest is ok....because got a spring attached to it......well......consolation this is only a very minor area that could be solved with aftermarket parts.......till warranty is out....i'll be going back everytime this happens.....till I change to aftermarket

Er.. how heavy of a load can the side stand handle?

Suddenly thought of this when I put out my side stand and leaned the bike on the side to allow my pillion to alight.

nothing wrong with the pillion footrest...only the rubber part that will soften pretty fast....imagine yr pillion getting up from that side how many times.....best is just leave it metal

while riding home to Jurong West from Upper Changi just now, noticed that the engine seem pretty rough, esp when reaching 100km/h,any 200NS sifu here can advice.....could it be:-

1 - pumped 92,

2 - used too thin Oil 10w40,

3 - too little oil,

4 - not so skilled in changing gears,

5 - the chain still new,

besides the above....cant think of any thing else

none of the above.. perhaps its a pulsar feature and engine will start to vibrate a lil bit more after 90km/h onwards. tats what i feel.
