Hi all,

I just bought a second hand Pulsar DTS-i 200, direct from owner. Any recommendation for workshop around Yishun/Woodlands area that won't chop me (P Plater) so much? Need to change rear tyre and check rear brakes.

 

Also, can I change the rear tyre to wider size? Say 120/80?

any shops should be able to do the basic like change tires,change eo,change brake pads,change brake shoes...

as for tire size, 120/80 should be the stock size for p200...

i just called UM, they got sell 2nd hand pulsars, 2k to 3k plus only for DTS 180cc but sadly 200NS no 2nd hand, same as direct owner sales wow, can anyone verify, accurate anot?

 

btw anyone noe the operating hours for UM?

there are already a few owners who sold their 200ns due to upgrading...

yes at the moment no 200ns at UM yet...

UM opens Mon-Fri 9am-7pm Sat 9am-6pm...

going up to 130/70 depends on brand...

but for p200 should not be a problem...

As Alvin mentioned .. stock tire size is 120/80 for rear and 90/90 for front

 

max for our P200 rim , u can use 140/70 but it will be slightly bulging out ... as for 130/70, its fits nicely but for stock size 120/80 & 90/90, imho n experienced , its still the best combo on pulsar 200!

Arrived some time last year, end of 2012. Obviously the NS is a better model since it's an upgrade of the P200

2nd hand bikes are not floading the streets but like Alvin said, some owners have sold theirs already. Watch our Facebook group for offers. The NS new is roughly around 8k with everything, so I'm guessing with 9 years of COE left, second hand should be close to 5k+. Just a guess, best to hut down ads or classified to see if you can spot one.

 

If you are sure you will upgrade to 2A next year, best get a P200 or P180. Much more affordable than the NS on second hand, and still excellent bikes to get your riding experience built up.

full cash 200ns cost 8k+...

2nd hand ones are selling about 6-7k+...most are with installments left...

-on 22 aug 08:53pm he posted on 'used bike section' selling this particular bike at $3000

-on 22 aug 09:05pm he posted as above, selling at $3.2 neg

-on 24 aug 09:23am he asked to meet him at 2pm to view bike

-at 11:12am i asked him for his bike plate number in order to call up insurance comp for premium quotations and there was no reply till 2.42pm ( last seen on whats app 12:34pm)

-from 1:50pm ~ 2.40pm, i called him up a couple of times and even smsed to ask him his whereabouts since we are meeting up at 2pm

at 2.42pm he replied, "Buyer morning view & like my bike very much. Paid full payment of $3400 offer. Very sorry for not replying on-time. /Poon

 

 

So from my point of view:

1. this person either has no intention of selling it at 3k

2. he does not have any sense of responsiblity or courtesy

3. From his message, if he were to sell his bike this morning and from what i know, LTA closes at 12pm. He actually had 2 hours+ to tell me that his bike was sold or he could pick up my calls or reply my smses

4. Another possible reason would be trying to make me offer higher than 3.4k (If he had not sold the bike by 24 aug)

Last but not least. Telling me that he sold the bike at 3.4k is kind of suspicious since he actually posted on a sale thread on 19 aug to sell his bike for $3.3k

I understand you're not happy with your experience and why you want to share. However at Pulsarians Singapore, we prefer not to publicly state judgments or only offer one side to stories.

As far as I am concerned, 90% of purchases, of all sorts, in SG go by the scenario you painted.

 

Any of us who ever tried to buy or even sell something can tell with details how people did not reply to messages, did not call or give heads up, lacked manners and common sense in their dealings.

 

It happens that people change their mind last minute, or don't follow-up after giving indication they were interested. That's just how it is.

 

We are always happy to help new riders get all the info they need before a purchase. Even sometimes we take it to the point where we accompany them to check the bike and give advice. However, I don't think we want to encourage poiting fingers. Your experience with that seller is yours, doesn't mean it will be the same for someone else. Understand you want to raise a flag and help others, but it's always better to clear things privately with the concerned party.

Hi, Pulsar 375 is not even launched in india yet..

no rough dates even for the launch...

so still have to wait...

based on the 200ns launch, Bajaj will fulfill their local market first before exporting...

there have been delays in india for their local market delivery due to high demand and in singapore the delivery dates were pushed back a few months as well...

12-13 years ago...13k = made in Japan 399cc, 4 cyclinder

 

Today 13k (hopefully) = made in India, 373cc, single cyclinder

its just a guess i got from an online article. They based it on the price diff between duke 200 and 200ns and then take into account the price of the duke 390 overseas. rough reverse calcalation. further with the new Honda twin 400s around 16k, the single 375 should have a corresponding competitiveness. Apologies, should have been more specific.
