oh puhleez.. this is a public forum, everyone has their personal opinion. no one has any right to tell another to can it or keep their opinions to themselves. from what i can read, no one in this thread is forcefully insisting that grounding is hogwash. it's just his personal opinion, if you disagree, good for you, you're not a mindless zombie. i for one feel that grounding MIGHT possibly work for older bikes with worned wiring and corroded contact points but i don't intend to get my bike grounded simply because i have more important things to invest in.

i do have a friend who got his bike grounded with them wires and all but he claims that his bike feels the same. i'd reckon his butt wasn't sensitive enough for the dyno but hey, that's him sharing his experiences with this product.

That sounds like a good idea... enough material to talk and drink beer all night! I'm back in town after April 24th. Let's do it. How about Dempsey's hut?

Name the date and time, and I'll be there. Not on my bike, anyway... will be pedestrian for the beer session...

Quick question.

Supposedly extra grounding works thereby causing less energy to be lost in imperfect conductors like a corroded frame, you'll have more (however minuscle) current going to your coils (think electron current, conventional current goes back to the battery). Do you believe you'll get a stronger (again however minuscle) spark at the plugs??

If it doesn't, it'll disclaim most aftermarket devices that claim to give you more power with a "better" electrical system, unless of course your original system is so crippled.

I added the grounding wire (DIY from Sim lim twr) the results is starting of my bike had become easily. The bike was three weeks old. Normally it will take about 1 sec for the engine to start after i crank it up.

After the installation, the engine will start immediately after i press the start button. It takes less than half a sec to start the bike now.

The engine runs smoother but no difference to FC... Anyway it is a cheap mod like $3, so not a really issue even if it does works...

Hi gentlemen here,

I am new to this bike grounding stuff here. Can anyone enlighten me what is this about.

Grounding- is it means that connect wire to (-) junction of batt?

What are the 6 points grounding?

Interest to know and DIY

Thank you

It probably helps with the electrical surge when u crank the bike. The starter motor is the single largest draining device in the entire bike, they actually spec the battery size according to the current drain demands of the starter motor. Hence, any extra wiring may help as it is an unusually large surge that happens only when you crank.

One point each to the furthest metal point on your frame, and another to one of the engine blocks will be sufficient

If your existing grounding is good, any more points will not make it better. Instead of adding more weight by installing additional grounding points, it would be better than you service the existing ground points.
