Singtel. Mine used to frequently disconnect because I was using a purchased router that decided to behave badly one day.

Now it's okay.

can u gauge its ur house or singnet problem.. sometime singnet have mass dc but they dun own up the problem and push it to consumer..

so its better to dobule check on hardwarezone forum if anyone is complaining or not.. but sometime even no one is complaining.. if all along your internet is fine most likely its not your problem.. cause my estate is less than 5 year old..

Do a 1-1 test first

Step 1. Plug out all telephones n fax machines n etc etc from all wall sockets in ur home

Step 2. Connect (wall socket -> modem -> pc's network card)

Is it okay? As in will get dc easily?

Does it happen at certain times of the day or whenever u use it?

Will the dsl light or signal strength light blink when u get dc?

Does it take long to be lited (not blinking)?

1 more thing to note:

I've read somewhere that because of ADSL signal noise limitations, an ADSL user has to ensure that:

1. All phones connect through microfilters,

2. The DSL modem should not connect through a microfilter (should be plugged in straight to the phone wall)

3. There should not be more than 3 hard-wired phone connnections. This doesn't apply to cordless phones.

Maybe the TS wanna try these?

i can be sure of 2 things

1. u are using 2wire modem. either model 1800 or 2700HG/V or something similar

2. u are running wireless network connections

if 1 and 2 both are true, then read on. else, ignore below

solutions ?

1. connect via LAN cable aka RJ45 or network cable. if turns out allright means its the wireless router faulty.

if u wanna still connect via wirelessly then either go down to manufacturer for exchange or for a more permenant solution....

go get another ADSL modem

if u experience frequent disconnection all of the sudden, that means u should call singnet, and ask to do a housecall immediately. If they say blah blah blah, just ignore and say u only want a housecall to be done. that's what i did before and problems are solved without any further headaches.

housecalls arent free if i rem.

if its a fault in ur home area (from ur front door) onwards, its payable by urself.

If the line outside, its free.

ts should try e few prior recommendations to do some self tests of ur line b4 going for housecall option.

hmm...

plug in microfilters to all tel sockets in ur home.. and connect ur modem direct to 1 (without microfilter) then call ur home and see if it will dc anot.

if will... most prob is e condition of ur home internal tel wiring alr.

then gotta rewire liao.

1 more tell-tale sign: One or all phones in the house will exhibit interference. If you pick up a phone and hear fuzzy noises, or that it's unusually soft, check all microfilters are in place.

Again, the wire that connects to the modem doesn't need a microfilter though (unless otherwise stated)

this can be due to wireles channel disturbance and mayB corruption of firmware of the wireless router, the wireless router firmware can be upgraded manually if its corrupted got to check out with the manufacturer.
