what is spot training ?

 

It just means that you only wanna target a certain area..... like tummy or gluts or thighs etc

 

I think another word for it is isolation

1st things 1st. Change your diet and lifestyle. NO fast food, NO fried foods, YES to lots of water to replenish the one in the body that has been perspired and NO lack of sleep 'cos your muscles have to recover for the next gruelling sessions

 

2nd, work on crunches, sit ups and to some waist-twisting actions to get the obliques to cut.

 

I know, I make it sound easy, but I have yet to follow the 1st things 1st :cheeky:

 

too add on.. no simple carbs, no carbs 4 hours before bed

people often have the misconception: convert fats to muscles.. not possible

there are fools working their abdominal region all the time and eating candy bars n fried food before/after gym damn pissed off.. worse if they eat n ask u at the same time "how to get abs?".. feel like smacking their faces :angry:

anyone training in california fitness? any branch will do

ive lost touch with the gym for couple of years since ns and im really looking for some kinda motivation to rekindle this intimate relationship with the weights now lol

You should get some food in you before you exercise... if not, then you have no energy to work out and would not be able to work out in the optimal zone for weight loss...

 

But try not to eat immediately after work out... wait an hour so that your reserve fuel will be burnt first

i just join a gym. I have a dream. a dream of lose the weight and able to purchase "off the shelf" clothes. I will do 1 hr cycle everyday. i hope i see result in 1 month. YEAH.....

Do threadmill for 1 hour better than just cycling... :thumb:

last time when i go to the gym. my dream is to not be able to buy clothes off the shelves meaning those xxl sizes haha.. i achieved it and im missing the days

 

before gym prob pop a banana or 2 than go do high intensity cardio.. something like slow jog for 2 mins, sprint for 1 min.. continuosly for 15-20mins.. much more efficient than normal cycling or slow jogging

well, start my 1 day gym. so tired. i did a 30 min cycle (a little tired - heart rate at 120max). a 15min jogging machine (very tired - heart rate at 160 max). i am so weak liao. then i do a 5 min sauna and a 5 min cold shower. i can bearly ride home liao. so sad. i am so weak.

 

the coach say that just do cardio is not good. it burn fat and musle. i must do musle training too. as usual they goes on asking me to take the personal trainer package. Well, it i were richer, my desire to lose weight will most likely take to package.

 

I think i better read up on what to plan for my weight lose program.

 

I am thinking cycle and jog machine for 30min and 15 min. then swim for 30min. this way, lower and upper body is covered. good idea or not??

maybe its just me.. but i do not fancy swimming

maybe its bcos ive had lotsa swimming lessons since young yet my shoulders are still narrow.. its a gene thing though.. sigh

 

as for weight loss, muscle building regimes.. i've firm convictions that the workout makes up 30-40% whilst the diet makes up the rest

 

imo,

cla, green tea works very well for fat burning..

tribex(tribulus) works solid for muscle building..

this morning. i do not feel like waking up. i mean my leg still feel weak (but better then last nite) and my arm are slightly aching. i drag myself out of the bed and now i am at work place.

 

I think to myself "should i follow the plan to work out today?" look like the coach is right, this "issue" need a lot of motivation. sigh...

Swimming is a good exercise. Always listen to your body. Do not overstrain yourself since you are just beginning. Slowly work your way up instead of overtraining... :goodluck:

i can never talk while running. no breath to waste in talking. hehe....

 

well, for a person that is over 100kg and has set his mind to loose 10kg (best is 17kg) in 12 month. I must be mentally strong......

 

(ok ok. i am weak). i am still thinking, should i go or not later after work..... help, i need to brain wash myself. hehe.....

 

 

 

Tot swimming leads to broad shoulders?

 

Anyway, always work out to wat you can handle....

 

Make sure you can still talk while running....

thanks. well, my body is weak lah. i am a very overweight under excise man.

 

Swimming is a good exercise. Always listen to your body. Do not overstrain yourself since you are just beginning. Slowly work your way up instead of overtraining... :goodluck:
