hi to add on, if my bike is not gg to be started for the next 2 weeks or so, wil my bike be damaged? Im currently stil recuperating from my op. Dun think i can leave the hse to do a engine start. Neither do my parents know how.. pls advise..

 

Think should be ok. The longest I did not start my engine was around 2 weeks. Overseas trip......

 

When I came back, 1 pressed 1 start. Swee.

anyone had a problem when they throttle there is a slight rattling sound but none when u did not throttle ? is this normal ?

Cos for my case, my meter only swipe twice when i leave the bike for a long time, if I onli leave it a while (eg go shopping) it wun swipe 2 times..

my bikeshop told me it is.

Spec 1, 2 and 3 rims are the same.. 160 rear 120 front..

 

Version S rims are smaller by 1 size.. 150 rear 110 front..

 

a Ver S rim will not fit a Vtec vice versa.. because of different axel and brake caliper mounts..

you can always mod to fit, but it's not worth the money..

a tank bra cost abt $140 for bagster and $165 for tribal one...

 

btw, anyone have any comments on 'tong'-ing pipe???

my idling rpm i think its ard less or equal to 900 or 1k ? its like i start my engine then i wait ard 10 sec it will auto die off, then i start again then can or sometime will die off again.

 

i wonder if its the air filter or the spark plug :\ or ?

if ur idling rpm is ok dan maybe ur spark plug and filter cause the program

when was the last u change ur spark plug and filter?

bike is a new bike jus 9 month old. haven change at all.

think i should change soon to see if problem still have anot.

the above mentioned maintenance schedule may be applicable for Japan weather and climate..

 

for SG, the maintenance schedule most ppl are religiously following is:

 

EO change every 5000KM

Oil filter every other EO change

Coolant every 1yr, or sometimes 6mths

spark plugs every 15000KM

 

SG is relatively warmer than Japan.. so these wear and tear products may wear out faster.. many motorshops are having package for maintenance which is very worthwhile..

i'm currently looking for a s4 preferably a spec 3.

but i have several noob questions i need your help with.

 

1. what are the cost i need to be prepared to bare after buying the bike. eg, servicing n how often?

2. when i get my new bike, should i do any kind of inspection/change of parts?

3. what are the most common wear and tear in a s4 and how often and how much it'll cost?

 

really hope you guys cann help me ans my questions.

hmm depends on ur own preferences, if u have bring in the forums long enough u should have known there is once a case about this revtec where revtec sue a fellow SBFer for defamation. and still u could ask revtec to let u all try out then decide.

The coolant reservoir, im not sure if tts what ppl call it, level has gone down over time. Izzit normal?
