i believe his simplest method is the connecting a normal on/off spst switch in place of the dpst switch...therefore by flipping the switch + either turn signal for it to work...can also, just that got to have it work in 2 steps.

i wonder if we can tap it directly to the relay to the battery..

like that we can take the keys with us if we want to park to a min or so.

will the battery died off?

Just to share some of my experience...the relay that LAB sells are rated 2x 10W +1.7W. It will still work even with 4 signal lights but I don't want to risk burning it out.

You can go to this shop opposite SLT, no. 57 Jinda something to get a higher rated relay. Abt $5.50...Costs even lesser than LAB!

I've updated my diy guide for hazard light...if you need help i'm more than willing to share...another tip is to get some female spade connectors and crimp the wires so that it does not come lose over time due to vibration.

57 jinda ? is this shop name? on what road?

DPST i think i got it for about $1 or so, cannot really remb the price. There're quite a number of shops in Sim Lim Tower that sells it but I prefer to shop at ASK electronics(used to be on 3rd level but shifted to 1st), & Kaichin.

Shrink tubes about $1++ ~ per metre, i think 1 metre can do for about 3-4 sets

57 jinda ? is this shop name? on what road?

Jinda is the shop name, the address is no. 57 Jalan Besar. It is among a row of shop houses opposite Sim Lim Tower.

edit: Google maps. It's the one with green stripe roof http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=57+Jalan+Besar,+Rochor,+Singapore+208809&ie=UTF8&cd=4&geocode=FbbpEwAdL7MwBg&split=0&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=23.875,57.630033&hq=&hnear=57+Jalan+Besar,+Singapore+208809&ll=1.304943,103.855015&spn=0.008774,0.008197&z=17&layer=c&cbll=1.304876,103.854966&panoid=Qpm4zx5ND2BPWbLjY21iGA&cbp=12,352.32,,1,9.35

Btw one issue I face is tapping to the signal & +12v wire. Because i stay in a hdb i don't have a power source to solder the wires as I trust soldering more than electrical tape.

temporary solution for tapping to signal wire can use crocodile clips + electrical tape & for +12v can either strip a portion of wire + electrical tape
