Motor Bike Accident On 6th June At Steven Rd

Hi everybody,

 

 

At last I intended to write and share this in the forum. It was my cousin, 22 years old, male. Muhd Sharizal Salim who met with an accident that leave him unconscious lying on the bed till now. Coma. I couldn't believe that this happened especially when it is someone you know. Faith is the answer.

 

This happened when he was leaving his reservist camp on the last day. It happened on 6th June around 5 plus I guess. Location accident took place was at Steven road after PIE exit towards Orchard. It is before Goodwood Park Hotel. He had a vespa but he was not riding it. He was riding a bike something like a Hexagon Piaggio..that belongs to his dad. For sure we did not know what is the cause of the accident. No witness. At the scene, his bike was 20m away from him and he was on the grass patch lying unconscious beside the railing. He was still with his army uniform. Till now, nothing has been found out yet for the cause of accident.

 

I only visited him late nite that day at SGH, Intensive Care Unit. He had just undergoed 4 to 5 hours of operation. This is what happened to him. His lung bled because it was punctured by his splinter bone that has broken into fragments. His intestine suffered a little rupture but this is not serious. His heart shifted a little due to the impact of the accident, blood clot was identified on his top part of the head measuring around 4mm and lastly he had multiple fracture right arm.

 

He is now under critical care and undergo as a spinal care patient too. He is given feeding using tube but there was a case where the liquid food was not actually digested by the stomach. And therefore the doctor stop the feeding. I was not sure after that coz this was only updated by my mum when she visited the hospital again. Today on 13th June, I got feedback that his lung leaked and it has shot his heart beating to about 130 to 150 beats bpm. It also stopped for a minute.

 

I've been visiting him till now. He was a young and a good boy and its sad this has happened. I hope for the best and my prayers for him is always with me.

And to the rest who send their regards (It is an honour coz I didnt see very much from my own friends here wishing me but a lot from those that I do not know), I really appreciate a lot! It seems that he is stable but still critical. Still has'nt wake up yet till now. His body is getting thinner a bit.

That part of Stevens Road is where I frequently see lots of big cars overtaking without due care, and lorries coming out onto that road without looking at on-coming traffic.
