Think you misunderstood. $3000 is teh price in India, or Rs.105k. The price here is going to be between $7-8000 or so, from different sources according to two posters, and be here sometime in July or August?

 

And, are you sure you're not thinking of the YZF-R125? That might be the one you saw....

Guys! I just went to A S Phoon website. I think they bringing in the bike. Anyone, sat on it yet? Or order? They got test model?

 

If i am not wrong, its basically an FZ150I with fairing right? Same engine? Finally the cheaper version to the R-125!

It uses the same engine and frame as the FZ150I/V-Ixion, (though the engine does put out more PS and torque), so if it isn't a sibling of those two bikes, it at least a close cousin!

 

And people have consistantly heard between 7 and 9k OTR, we'll see what it is when it is available.

Hey i saw the r15 at the yamaha communications plaza at ubi. According to the dude there, its OTR price without insurance is 6.6K !!

i dont know abt the license classification in india man. but i agree. this bike is cheap. Yea. sure the r125 looks nicer. but the price tag oso nicer! haha. The pics i took arent that good as its from a camera phone. But it looks better in real life although not as nice as the r125.

I got some new info from the dude at the Yamaha communications plaza. According to him, OTR price not including insurance for R15 is 6.8K. And 2nd party insurance shld be 1.7K for P platers below 21 if im nt wrong. Totalling up to 8.5K OTR. Boohoo..
