I didn't know the sprockets could take so long. Good luck with setting up. In your opinion, do you think I should mod the collectors to free up the exhaust gas flow? I wonder if that will make the exhaust too loud, because I am intending to remove the exhaust baffles as well.

Sure, it's free for all. But since Zer0 will be trying to get used to the new sprocket sizes and I will be testing my bike after not riding it for months and rebuilding it, we will probably be lapped constantly. On the 26th I think I will be done with setting up and start to concentrate on my techniques and lines.

I heard that the guys who went to the track day last weekend cut their lap times by 5 seconds or so. I need to do something about it and improve! :cheeky: Especially when my bike is down on power compared to the 600's and 1000's. Very stressed ah. Amba is gonna kick my ass again.

Same for me. Have not riding my CBR for the past 6 months. Will most probably spend the 23rd getting used to the bike again. Not to mention the forks were revalved and resprung last month, and will need plenty of getting used to.

So let's all get lapped constantly then. kekeke

Hopefully all my work is done by then, worst case I should have the jetting setup and a larger front sprocket should make it ok. I am still learning my way around the track and haven't been on a track in around 1.5 years until Sunday so still quite slow and working back up to it at the moment.

Modding the stock headers is definately worthwhile. Delivers performance similar to a full system for very little cost. I have a bolt in silencer in the end of my muffler and as long as the silencer is in place its not too loud, with the silencer out its REAL loud. You should be fine but you just need to find an easily removable solution for when you go to the track.

I called my mechanic today and he told me that my NC23 header already doesn't have baffles. Well, saved me the trouble.

Let's not get off topic. So I guess ulysses_sc and you will join me for "winter testing" in PG on 23rd? :cheeky:

Anyway ulysses_sc why haven't you ridden your CBR for so long? Did you go overseas too?

Nah. Busy with work, kid, ya know, domestic obligations. Also because I commute on my XR4 motard, and ride off-road sometimes on weekends. So no PG. kekeke

Gah, I may not be able to make it on 23rd. My bike may not be ready. I am crossing my fingers.

I hope I can still make it for 26th.

Confirmed that my bike will only be ready on 23rd itself. Which means the first session will be on 24th. Zer0 you can go ahead on 23rd, or join me on 24th. 26th I will still be going unless my other track buddies change their minds.

Is this the right place to post if you want to find out who is going to track? Don't see too many weekday people here yah?

I'm keen on going...it would be my first ever experience :giddy:

(P.S.: Oei! Where are you 2 strokers?! You fill in the variety of bikers in general leh.)

Yeah, that is the purpose of this thread (at least when I started it).

First experience is always fun + a little bit scary. Weekday is good for first time because it's cheaper and there are less bikes.
