yeah tats gonna be my situation also but mine is relatively cheaper for 2-3 months of extension and also most prolly late payment also..damn i didnt know abt tis until today..anyways..the bike shop is supposed to tally the insurance end date with the road tax end date, but it seems they failed to do so..and their lame reason is cuz my bike is second hand bike..how do i tell its lame? my fren's kr bike is also a 2nd hand but they tallied the end dates for her..so this is obviously something had went wrong at their end when they did the admin for my bike..and the best thing is im not even aware of all this and the significance and importance of all these things until today =_=" my fault, or bike shop's fault, its up to the masses to judge..in my opinion, bike shop should have at least bothered to inform their customers..but heck..this bike shop is famous for chopping carrots and giving a load of crappy lies from some of their people to customers..so i shouldn't expect anything less then this from this shop..they are jus another c0cked-up and leeching bike shop..lame reason for not tallying d due dates..and lamer reason given to my fren about her 1st hand bike, which shouldnt have problems such as piston jammed..LAME LAME LAME..

to bike shops their attitude is, u never ask what, how 2 tell u

They might have bought the bike w/out fairings from previous owner..But usually they have spare usable fairings in store/stock..Word to take note is "usable"..:D

wah valarie is really experienced biker. How did u know so much. i wanna gain more knowlegde about my bike too!

When I got this KRR bike, I planned to master its engineering stuff. I started by reading threads about KRR, especially from THE ENLIGHTEN ONE ( Mr SparkerS1), KRR manual and even I made a call to Kawasaki manufacturing plant at Thailand and spoke to their Kawasaki KRR production Chief Engineer. This cost me abt $80 on my hp bill but I learned a lot from him.

Example question to Kawasaki KRR Chief Engineer:

(Myself) How to make the bike go faster?

(Chief Engineer) Firstly, Send ur CDI over to our plant and we shall reset it to the original racing setting meant for track use. Your goverment required us to step down its performance due to LTA regulations.

(Myself) What are the DOs?

(Chief Engineer) Regular chain lubrication. Servicing of the torque. Replacement of parts by authorised mechanics. Refer to manual on the longevity of the metal components including clutch plates.

Also, use Full synthetic GEAR OIL or Racing Transmission Oil. Use Full synthetic 2T Racing Oil. Use those Iradium or Higher Sparkplug. Change to GP type of tires. Invest in good Chain transmission system. Invest in Electronic support items such as Voltage and Ignition stabilizers. They are used in all Kawasaki GP bikes. Dont forget to service and replace ur brake system!!

(Myself) What are the DONT'S ?

(Chief Engineer) Never modified what had been mechanically set. Many local mechanics would do Porting, Piston or Block size modifications. These will conflict with safety issues and never to bring out the best performance. We ever used our factory GP tuned bike against those "Local mechanic Porting/Piston modifications" in a track and they never win us in 3 trials. They faced engine overheat and piston seizure. We had tested all types of knowledge to bring out the best to ensure we have the fastest 200cc below Sports configuration bike. We have to beat H...DA & Y.....HA!!

Bottom line, owning a Sports Configuration Bike is not a cheap maintainance if u wanna play it to the MAXIMUM potential. Its like owning a Sports Car!! Only of a smaller CC!!

Hi,

Where can I get GP type of tires?

I would like to use it for my track days..

How many types of compound do they have?

What is GP type of tires?

Battlax? TT900s? GPR70?

Is there such a thing as GP type of tires..

GP tires are not meant for road use..

GP Qualifying and Race tires are totally different in compound to our road tires.

With Permission;

CLERMONT-FERRAND, France - Michelin's motorcycle racing director Nicolas Goubert reveals the secrets behind Michelin's MotoGP qualifying tires:

What is the difference between Michelin race tires and qualifying tires? Do you only change compounds?

The main parameter we change is compound, but we do also change construction. Qualifying tires aren't designed to last for very long, we know that our riders will only do one or two fast laps with them, so we don't need to worry too much about tire temperature or the endurance of the compound and carcass.

Describe the rubber used in qualifying tires. Is it merely softer?

First of all, we should say that talking about soft rubber and hard rubber doesn't actually mean much because everything is related to the temperature of the rubber itself. You can have rubber which is hard at low temperatures but becomes very soft at high temperatures, or you can create rubber that is soft at low temperatures but evolves less at high temperatures, so it will end up harder than the other tire. What you need from a qualifying tire is very quick warm-up performance, plus rubber that will be soft and grippy straight out of the tire warmers, at around 90 degrees.

How does the construction of a Michelin qualifying tire differ from a race tire?

Usually, qualifying tires use a softer carcass because our aim is always to create the biggest contact patch possible, and you'll get a bigger footprint if the carcass flexes more. In these circumstances that's okay, because the durability of the carcass isn't a real concern. Of course, you can't go drastically different because that would require changing bike settings and teams don't have time to do that in qualifying. So we play a little with construction but not too much.

This post is not intended to discriminate u valerie but i think that u should provide proof or some kind of evidence to support ur statements..

If u really do talk to the chief engineer, help me ask him; Why is there such a big difference in weight and material quality to all KR blocks be it a Kawasaki Victor M or a Kawasaki Cyclone?

Peace.

Ride with me..

take bigger bike lah 2 fulfill ure racing needs

i still think kr is a good transport bike minus all the extra modifications.

A voltmeter would do for an added accessories. Other than that, nothing much to modify other than regular maintanence of a bike (e.g. tyres, brake pad, eo, 2T)

p.s. i agree with the porting part, seriously waste of money. if its meant to go faster, the manufacturers would have created it to go fast. bottomline, u disturb the engine, prepare 2 fork out more money

hmm.. cleaning ur chain is it?

hee. For me, i use GT85 Teflon spray to clean up the chain.. u can buy this GT85 at most bikeshop.. or buy at Mustafa Centre 4th floor. spray the GT85 at ur chain, use cloth to wipe the dirt. Then, use ur prefered brand of chain wax or chain lube while rotating the wheel. U should try Bel Ray Chain Cleaner & Bel Ray Chain Lube.

hehehe.. eh, what u are doing right now?? slacking ah like me? hehe.

ohh .. yar lor.. if u are so lazy like me, ask ur shop to do for you lah.. like what i just did yesterday.. went for service, then ask shop to lube my chain & check tire pressure.. hehehe..

or i got some tips from my mentor.. try to sit behind the rear wheel, as ur bike in side stand, tilt ur bike by using ur right knee to tilt ur pipe to the left.. dont worry.. ur bike will nvr fall as u got side stand on it.. then slowly, rotate the wheel using ur right hand while chain it using ur left hand.. hehe. this is just some tips for u.. try lah.. :thumb:

im not sure yet lah when im going for studies.. very boring sia at home.. one day we go riding ah.. hahaha.. yup.. recession times.. difficult to find job nowadays.. hehe.. take care suet! :thumb:
