Just a little update:

Previously i asked if it was cheaper to change tires in Malaysia or Singapore.

I changed back tyre at Lor Bapok at Hou Heng Motor. Battlax 110/70 for 375RM.

A few weeks later i changed front tyre at Planet for $105 SGD. Battlax also.

So factors to consider:

-Whether Msian workshop factor exchange rate (3:1 at the time) and charge me a little more coz im Singaporean. (Possible but lets give them benefit of doubt. I believe they are honest enough.)

-Whether or not the tires from either shop were older or newer stock hence cheaper or more expensive price. (Did not check with both workshops how old is the stock so i cannot weigh in this factor properly. My mistake.)

Anyway my personal conclusion is: Msia is a bit more expensive.

Anyone got other experiences with this issue? Please share!

Greetings riders!

have a small problem with my kr that i wish to seek your expertise.

when i open throttle then close the rpm seem to go down slower that normal. this happens both while stationary and while riding. carb cleaned about close to 2 months ago. adjusted the carb setting a couple of times get the best settings.

Bike is running well with no hesitation. good pick up, good speed.

Anyone of you can help me with this? can seem to find the solution.

thank you in advance!

I'll only change my tire at Planet. My understanding is front tire is slightly smaller than the the back tire, hence front tire is slightly cheaper than back tire of the same brand.

So far, I only change TT900 tires. Is Battlax better?

Hi guys, having a fuel tank leak problem..

noticed a bubble in my tank like 2-3 weeks ago, just realised its a leak in my fuel tank. currently the leak is contained mostly within my paintwork, just a small hole in the paintwork that will leak if i press on the bubble.

if i dont press on the bubble, the fuel dont seem to leak out, or at least its not flowing out at a noticeable rate.

i know i have to replace my fuel tank, but a new one seems to cost like $300+? tight on cash currently..

if find a 2nd hand tank will be cheaper, but the condition wont be that good..

and replacing will need to do some painting also need $$..

any ideas i can seal up the hole? or any shop that does sealing service?

appreciate all help! thanks!

Seal the hole in the paintwork or tank?

Mine the paintwork still intact, just that got fuel inside and 1 pin hole to leak.

And any idea which motor diam does this sealing?

Thanks bro

U can't seal paintwork. Paint must be removed on that area. Tiny hole must be welded. If not, leak can come back anytime.

Hi once again, all.

Is it possible for me to DIY adjust the fuel intake and 2T intake to the carb? I know it is possible to adjust the idling rpm which i assume is also the air intake.

Yes you are able to, but there are others changes to make as well. air intake, etc.

Adjust fuel intake is from adjusting main and pilot jet

Adjusting 2t is from wire going to near ur left footstep. Can you notice wire with adjustable screw?

Also, i noticed a loose wire near the bottom. I took a video of it here. Anyone able to ID what wire is that? And whether it is okay to leave it loose like that??

Second pic is correct wire

If u want see 2t indicator, open cap from 3rd pic. U will see wire end there. So when u full throtle, u will lift cable. U will see 2 line mark will meet each other(left and right). If meet, mean ur 2t intake is normal.

Hi er.. Which one is it exactly?

This one?

http://i865.photobucket.com/albums/ab211/darylegoh/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20160316_202141_zpsssbs3at7.jpg

Or this one?

http://i865.photobucket.com/albums/ab211/darylegoh/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20160316_200343_zpsyhjrvwaf.jpg

And then if i want to increase or decrease the intake, is it i have to turn the thing anti clockwise with a plier/spanner?

Thank you everyone for the help so far!

The 2T indicator where im supposed to check for two lines to meet at full throttle position (assuming stock settings) is it this one?

Am i supposed to remove the black rubber cap from here? Coz i seem to be having some difficulty removing that cap. Wont seem to come off unless i maybe try using a lot of force.

Nope. Open chain cap, you will see there beside your gear

Managed to find from my archive photo.

Once you open the gear cover, you can see like this

That 2 line must meet each other, then your 2T setting is normal consumption.

if right line is lower than left one, then your 2T consumption is higher than normal.

If higher than your 2T consumption is lower than normal.

Hope this can help.
