mainly because newer plate doesnt always necessarily mean better condition engine

and newer plate will mean slightly higher cost of insurance premium

 

i would personally gauge a FW plate to be worth ard $2.9K

so the price u got...is somewhere there lar

stp is a kinda additive.. can get fr moz petrol kiosk..

 

i tried experimenting wiv usin 2t as premix... but my bike gave lotsa white smoke.. its reali excessive...

 

im not sure if usin cheapo 2t into ur 2t pump will cause excessive white smoke.. nv tried using cheapo 2t...n dun intend to...

 

i noe thrs 1 called unicorn sellin @ ah koon... 3 or 4 bucks onli..big bottle..

he open up gearbox show u issit?

 

its not inside the block hor... yes it is a black thingy, but its inside gearbox...

oil seal is the black colour rubber thing

 

the moment they dismantle your gear-box considered full over-haul as everything is stripped to bare ( clutch-plates, 2 gear shafts, con-rod with bearings etc )

 

when that happen all parts checked replaced with ( new bearings, all oil seals )

 

oil seals is cheap by nature but the location is within gear-box thats why costly

 

faulty oil seal cost lots of smoke as engine oil seeps into cylinder as detonation burns engine oil

 

btw thought u just had an over-haul

 

ask the motor-tiam to re-do the faulty oil seal then

 

if bo pian then constanly monitor the level of your engine oil above the markings

i never overhaul the gear box leh .. just teh block parts..but just 1 oil seal cause so mush u guys think worth it ?btw how much if i wan to overhaul the engine parts ?gearbox ?

strongly suggest u put aside spore $400 for gear-box over-haul

 

whatever spoil just change one shot dont do double work

 

nobody changes 1 oil seal they change whole set to ensured no c***-up

FT plate, just changed fork oil, engine oil, rear shocks oil, tires, and done a full service 1 month ago. Changed chain and sprocket 2-3 months ago.

 

I'm pushing in to bike shop at 2.1k...so if you can top this offer the bike's yours.

btw if you have a faulty oil seal, the engine oil will drop very fast due to leakage... a few days after top up will almost 1/2 gone. but it will not dry up since there is a certain lvl at which the oil seal is, after tt it wont leak tt much anymore... the first few days after u change EO, bike will b VERY smoky...

 

now i have to change engine oil at least every month liao until i get this fixed...
