Need some advice from you all riding majesty 250.

 

Decided to buy a mk1, like the looks more than the newer model

Went to Asp***n Changi and BHH at defu 2day.

 

each got 1 majesty 250 mk1 model for sale.

 

BHH is owner put at there for sale, FRplate $1300, tried riding it,engine starts easily.. seems smooth(dno really how to see for other major faults) lol...as for outlook, quite alright not many scratches but i cant do trade in for my current bike rxz. No warranty from the shop as well cos considered from private seller.

 

Asp***n one, FSplate costs $1800, take in my bike $800, 3mths warranty from them, engine cant start, thy say no batt, so dno the engine starts easily or not...outlook wise, much more visible scratches than the a/m bike.

 

Mayb i list the bike plate numbers, scarli ppl here know the bike history.

For me ... i go for the 1.3k .. and use the savings to repair/rebuild the scoot. Cosmetics can be "beautified" i.e spray paint or bodywork mods.

Go to a trusted mech who has experience with scooters and do the necessary work : check forks, bearings, transmission, set the valves clearance etc .. Yam parts are pretty affordable if you are DIY person .. :)

 

... i miss my Mk 1 ... but its good to move on ..heehee..

 

...tip : remove the exhaust, sand off the existing paint / rust, then respray with hi-temp paint .. sounds a little better and goes better too :)

$30 at the famous Mr Lim if you are looking for 'aftermarket' one.

However, the mounting point may vary.

stock is 200plus if im not wrong.

 

I cant rem the name of the shop i check with. But is located along the scretch of shophouses along Mah Motor tat road. If im not wrong its a few shops before GHC serangoon. Its a yahama spares dealer.

Hi JeetKuneDo,

 

Most of us (if not all) visit wonderful motor. Its located at 494 macpherson road.

He is sharing the shop with some others. So, if u happen to go there, look for botak onli. Not others.
