help! my front headlights are not working. i press the passing switch, it show highbeam. other than that, it's not working. i press the high beam switch to no avail. could the switch be spoilt or what? how much for replacement?

The connector inside the switch melted already lar. Don't use both beam if you use H4 60/55 for the bulbs. The stock switch cannot take the high current. If you using the original I4 then is ok.

But i changed my bulb to a lower current bulb at K&T a few mths back.

 

Now what will happen to the switch?

You have a switch to turn on your headlights? If have could be the switch spoil already juz buy a switch at sim lim or any electrical shop with 3 connecting legs. If after u change the switch still can't then would be your bulb blow already although still have high beam. Hope that works for u : )

No on / off switch. Just turn the ignition key on and it will light up. So, if blown bulbs surely when i press the high beam button (and not the passing button), it would light up as well?

 

But sadly, no...even when i press the high beam button.

I thought u said when u press the passing switch ur high beam comes up? Now i dun quite understand what u're trying to say already.

Nelson, here's what happened. If i turn on the ignition, the headlight would not light up now (where it should have been so)

Headlights failed to light up.

 

No matter what button i press on the switch, be it high beam or low bean as illustrate in the picture below, it also fails to work.

And if i press the passing switch, the front headlight will light up and goes to high beam mode.

Get it?

 

Now.... if you say the bulb is blown, surely it will not even light up if switch to high beam by pressing the Passing switch?

 

So, it could have been wrong with the High / Low beam switch as mentioned above... or elsewhere?
