Illegal Pipe Modification

1. if the pipe get so rusty then it has hole and welding back is not a solution anymore. what will happen?

2. if the bike is so old that cannot find orgi pipe, what will happen?

3. if the rider install a better quality, a more silent pipe. what will happen?

What bike u talking bout??even a c70 can get a replace for their pipes-haha..

more silent pipe means much more better la when u get stop by tp's..

if ur pipe no sound better sia..haha...

if so hard to find this n that then i suggest get a new bike-

i use legal pipe without baffle. i will always take out.

either i use legal pipe without baffle or i use a non-legal pipe,

i will not tong my original pipe..sound not nice.

i got into trouble with my old scrambler once and it was stock... made a big issue at the road block for about 30mins and then they finally let me off... singapore TP? BS..

I've heard of stories of ROV asking some guy riding PGM if he mod his pipe. How come one side higher than the other side.

Technically normal TPs wouldnt know much nor care less about your exhaust as illegal modification doesnt fall under them, like wise for traffic offence to be done by ROVs.

 

There was once i manage to fake the TP(WRX) with my Akra bolt on(Without Baffle) but street legal exhaust + cert until the ROV shouted from across the road " Akrapovic, start your bike", TP even told him on my behalf "This one got cert" but nevertheless, was ordered to start my bike & that's how i got my $500 fine.

 

Basically there's 2 different fine to my understanding, rules might have change since then.

 

1) Tampering with a street legal exhaust - Under $100 fine

2) Using a non street legal exhaust - $500 back now, heard it's $750 now

Today kanna stop by tp for no silencer on my leo vince.. it does comes with cert, does it mean that my fine will be $100?

nsmen can also be in the rex, depending on the situation and event ops.. mostly nsman in rex for escorting purposes only..

 

not only sgt and above, cpl can also be in the rex, but as a passenger..

 

most cpl are on diversion (two wheeler) mainly due to them being newbies due to rank..

 

to zip ard in the rex, you need to go for the course, which is different in normal patrol saloon cars, which is more advanced..

 

and yeah, normally sgt and above would get to go the course due to experience..

Nsr 150 last time!Was caught speeding by tp at lim chu kang airplane road!They hear my bike very loud n come catch me!Then they charge me for speeding...They aso actually 1 2 call LTA for my pipe and 1 seater!But they see i stress liao and my charge for speeding quite gao luck liao cause need to go court so they neber do tat!

Stop me for random spot check, my KRR, from head to toe obviously theres lots of things to "bill", even my endcan was actually on the left!!. The ROV asked, "This one what bike?? Aprilla huh?? Whoa nice ah..License, IC & insurance please...O.K, ride safely...". God must be watching me...Phew!!!

 

2nd) 2007 Stop by LTA on bike, he said, "Whoa!!! License & IC, follow me now for inspection!!", I didnt even manage to greet good morning to him.. Total fine + reinspection = 1k++..Everything not pass, even front signal light not passed...

 

3rd) 2009, stop by the same LTA, this time I'm on KTM, huuhaaahuuuhaaa, follow him for inspection again!! KNBCCB!!... Lucky to escape with Minor fines only. Aftermarket endcan they did not notice... Phew!!!...

 

Now everything change to stock..had enough of fines, reinspection etc etc...

Worst of all unnecessary waste of moolah...

wait a sec, if u remove the baffle on a street legal exhuast don't that fall under [ tampering with a street legal exhaust ] ?

are there ROV stationed at the inspection centres? if i try to go inspection with a non legal pipe and the inspectors find out is it will refer to ROV or they only fail me and ask me to come back with ori pipe.

way back in 2006.. was riding my k3 .w akrapovic race titanium header n akrapovic endcan (legal) but without baffle.

 

while gng to werk frm ECP to AYE. i was on low gear high rev mode sumore under bridge..wooohhooo. .saw ROV 52 at AYE.cannot run......he saw(more to hear actually) me frm far liao. kena stopped.......

 

'IC,License n insurance'.... ok come follow me inspection'

went to Ayer rajah Inspection centre (beside my office building) DUH!!!...

 

kena fine total $1.3k. for exhaust,header,signal lights(frnt n back),headlite,num plte holder, num plate lamp,num plate,legal pipe not inspected(hw lame can tat be..hahahah)....

 

the next day... just imagine i tio again,
