For those on the wee with H&B mainstand, you might have issues. There is not enough clearance to mount the big foot. Unless you don't mind it hitting your mainstand. Other mainstand brands may not have this problem.

 

If you are in a tricky situation, you can try this

 

ANyway those on 650... u can get the Touratech one at Mtechnik..

Non available for the 1k locally as far i know lah...

Yup I saw it last Fri. Rider was in the carpark waiting for rain to stop. Last week been raining in the evening. Hope this week will be sunny. You just put on the givi screen ya? Good?

rider is from which dept? used to ride the old gs isnt it.? yup got the givi from fellow strommer.... looks and feels good comapred to the stock shield. been riding lately huh..? bad weather esp when time to knock off.

But2 the problem is when u ride alone... before u want to place that slippers or stone or watsover... the bike sink already.. n i have to admit.. .when the bike sink... i dont have the strength to lift it up hehe

I was on the PIE when i saw from far a familiar bike.. turned out it was a Vee. To gain some ground with him, i had to drop 3 gears to gear 3 and throttle to ard 6.5-7K rpm, reaching my max power.

 

U can just imagine how fast he was on the PIE if i had to drop 3 gears just to be near him.. can't imagine if it was the NSH. I will probably smell some Vee's smoke.

 

Wonder if he is here in this forum.

There are a couple of Vstrom1k on sale if you look around in the bike mart section. Why the 650? You are asking around in the FJR & Varadero camp and both are quite different bikes. The common denominator is touring no doubt. The Vee will be closer to the Vara1k. Any priority? Type of bike or price? Since you have the TA400, I assume you prefer dual sport (DS) / adventure touring bikes?

Currently looking for those bikes which ever that I come accross first I would buy just hope that vara 1k is my last option cause fuel consumption is high anyway fjr cause if I see good deal I might as well change to sports tourer but these bikes especially those 650 or 750 would be ideal any reccomandations ?

it's was one of my projects... but now stuck with the bash plate project, no time to do so can't move onto other things....got to wait then i c the problem on the aftermarket big-footers.
