Thanks Papabread. And what is the average tyre life for EXP? below 20000km right?

depends on your average wack or titillating touch. if you like bdm with whip and snuf...abt 16k if you go slow and emo you will hit 24k

Ok I suppose I figure will be the speed in which you are riding right?:cheeky: So that be abt 80-100 km/h average? Yeah that is slow for me. So if I go slow on the old T, will I hit 50 km mileage on that? Hmmm:angel:

If you are still considering tyre mileage over grip and traction on the choice of tyres with a mere difference of $30 and perhaps 3-5k km more.......then think again...

how much do you treasure your life or at least how much do you treasure your bike...

don't regret on the choice of tyres after any bad incident that happen to you...

at the end of the day...u made the choice...

don't blame the bike...don't blame the tyres....don't blame the road conditions...don't blame other riders.....just have urself to blame...

when you are out there...the only person that can take care of you is urself...

too bad that distributors here cannot cope with the high demand of touring tyres....particularly Tourance EXP and even Tourance....even Anakee/Anakee2 stocks hard to come by these days

i had many near miss incidents and even skidded one or two times due to bad tyres....but if you think again...the choice of tyres on ur bike is afterall determine by you..you are the one riding it and not someone else...

So before you decide changing tyres...best to pre-order 1-2 months in advance...and get the tyres that you feel most comfortable and safe with...

If you are still considering getting cheaper tyres and save that mere dollars...why not change to 2b bike or best still take public....it is afterall much cheaper and safer anyway...

Cheers

As much as I do agree with you, it's not that Old T is that Bad compare to the Exp. If it is bad after all, Metzey would not have manufacture it. Exp is better for gripping based on Old T with the upgrades of the compound and of course Technology which results in the Exp better gripping but then wears out faster than old T.

I have to say my think my previous combo, (Anakee 2 Frt + Old T Rear) gives a better gripping compare to full OLD Frt and Back. For one, the difference is especially recognize especially when cornering. And both wears out same time. It could be because of mostly city riding, for Old T thread is way more in depth compare to Anakee.

I do and have been wanting to try to Contiroad and Conti Trail but Kintai always says no stock when I personally want to order he says its not him that have no stock but Conti Worldwide production no stock. I have already give up ion asking him.

Couldn't have agreed more .....

Save $$ get another small bike lor.

After what i went thru. bit more of cost vs safety and our life...... ITs worth a small investment ^_^ .

To each his own.

Some pp like buffet style of tyre mixting.

Some say this front good, that rear good. Its not as simple as 1 + 1 = 2.

I guess there are good reasons why each of the brand has their own strengths and weaknesses. Too.

For me I'm on my 3rd set of EXP since taking over from my friend.

Clock almost 75K. Under my care.

Just to note for those riding up far north....

The other time i went up...clocked abt 8000km with hard riding every day for 2weeks....

Was using anakee and the tyre was almost out of thread....so i will doubt using exp for long rides....unless u take the train and save about 1-1.5k km and more rest....

Will test out the exp this apr and see how far it can cover with hard riding

U can get from drz400 rider at a lower price, as most of them had change their stock signal light(clear cover) to aftermarket ones. Cheaper alternative??

Any bros interested in upgrading their brake levers to a shorty???i wanted to order a set but misread the label so onli the brake lever came. i placed another order for a set so decided to sell the brake levers to those interested in just a brake level upgrade. my lost is their gain...the cost of the lever is ard S$34 and freight is S$15. So i am selling the lever for $34 and i will absorb the freight.
