hi guys, am interested to find out more about the v-strom 1000 in particular.

 

What is the ride height of the bike ? Can someone 1.65m like me ride the bike comfortably? Cus i'm afraid the weight of the strom would put me off lar.

 

Actually,i'm riding a motard now but my main concern is the combination of the heavy weight and the height lar. Furthermore the strom is definitely less agile than my motard right now so yea, quite concerned over the handling of it. I'm petite lar so handling of big bikes would be of a main concern to me la

 

 

 

The V-Strom 1000 weights 237 kg with center stand and full tank. The seat height is about 84 cm. It is designed to carry riders from about 1.70 m, depending on the actual leg length. Although I know shorter riders who still manage the beast well.

 

The handling is really quite good for a 1000, but you can not compare with a Supermoto. But the V-Strom 1000 does all day riding with ease, something a Supermoto will not like too much.

PS: Also note the part where the V-Strom ACTUALLY is FASTEST Adventure Bike on the 1/2 mile DRAG RACE!! Wahahaha...........1/4 price of GS/KTM etc etc, end of day also faster.

Haha.........alota Strommers change to scooter after selling bike. You the second guy I know. This old timer Strom I bought some stuff from is riding a SilverWing now. BUT, he say he looking for a tourer again, backside itchy liao. I believe I give you 1/2 -1 year, you SURE buy big bike one. Side bet 1 X Marlborough.

Yah.Actually I was looking for 500-750cc bike also. My 'lease' on STROM up early next year,dunno want to renew from friend ornot(depend if he staying in China or not). Was thinking of DR650/Fazer6/Bandit6/Strom650 those kind. I don't really use full power on my DL1k, such a waste!
