Is pretty cheap over there.. and i wonder how fantastic it is...

but i feel having a sound system is better den own such a small gadget.

1) i juz changed my EO n plugs

 

2) I'm using a open pod air filter with normal 3" aluminium piping.

 

3) There was this rubber hose from the aluminium piping that was left connecting to nowhere. the mechanic then connects it to a opening of the engine cover ( i suppose there should be a piping from the original air filter to the engine cover )

 

Here is my problem

 

1) CEL lights up, although not immediately. It was fine from Woodlands to Bishan. switched off engine coz waiting for ppl

 

2) Move off liao, not long after the CEL lighting lights up and my rpm maintains at 1.5k

 

3) while moving off, at half clutch position, it was fine, moving as it should. however, when i step on the gas and release clutch fully, it JERKED for a moment and then accelerate. Same goes for gear 2. Gear 3 onwards is okay

 

Things done

 

Changed to liqui moly 5w40 EO and normal denso plugs 5 days ago

 

adjusted idling valve 1 day ago. This was done because sometimes my rpm gets too low and the engine will die. This is when the mechanic saw the tube from the aluminium pipe that leads to no where and decides to connect it to the engine cover instead

that pipe should be to your sensor right?

hmm those new type of HU also have port for usb thumbdrive, for ipod actually need a adaptor. But honestly, even i have a ipod and the adaptor i still listen to radio

wat brand open pod? MAF sensor up lorry is it.

 

is just a extra opening on ur intake alu pipe with a small rubber tube?

i still will encourage you to chg to a pro workshop for such situation. upgrading to open pod maybe a small issue but the vehicle previous owner got de kit watever stuff that is left there half past six is another thing.

Thumbdrive lousy Did that before and still can't hold enough songs.. HDD or iPod 80gb and above at least

Hmm you think i shld keep it stock or convert? the brake power doesn't feel that gd.. Actually i had a few in mind like: P.Mu, porsche, brembo 6/4.

looking at rotors 600 degrees or above

your stock on steel braided already? change brake pads EBC green stuff or those higher ends ones I'm wondering how much is EBC red stuff

ebc yellow will be gd for my stock, red abit killing rotors. The stock brake kit is gd enuff for normal track and street use but it seems it doesn't work well killing off speed from 200 ~ 100 even with 800 degrees pad.

Maybe i should send it for servicing?

 

Like what jB said, steel braided hoses. I think you should go and service your calipers. Replace the oil and dust seals for your calipers, replace the Dot4, change into steel braided hose. Depending on your usage, if you are not brining it to track, you can choose the organic brake pads which does not wear off your brake disc as fast as sintered pads which have very much extended heat resistance that prevents fade.

 

Don't spend unnecessary money. Use the money for other uses like a vacation with your CO in Europe with a SLK on the Autobahn. :thumb:
