Attn: BOWIE and Martin

As of late, I have been rather active with the Diversion Club, partly because of the passion I have for the bike, and partly due to the characteristics of the Club.

First of, the members are generally between early thirties and late forties, therefore they bring a great wealth of experience, knowledge and maturity. They are also made up of mostly Chinese, Malays and Indians - which is the vision I had for the XJR Club earlier.

Secondly, they are seasoned tourers, therefore they are able to guide us newbies if we wana go for long trips up north.

Thirdly, they are mostly fathers and have 'been there done that', therefore they place great emphasis on road safety and good riding techniques, which I believe, are important attributes to inculcate in young riders.

Lastly, my mentor, Mr Haron of XJR1300 (FI) has known about martin (he thought u were riding the XJR1300), and I would love to introduce you to him...

As for BOWIE, I think you'll feel quite comfortable in the group, I assure you... Here is a pic of the Diversion Club during one of the meetups I attended.

In conclusion, I would like to invite u guys along with me during their next meetup, and hopefully, new friendships can be made, and my vision of having XJRs and Diversions (Rare Yamaha bikes) riding up north becomes more and more of a reality?

What a coincidence!! My girlfriend was telling me to have a look at this thread and join them for the durian trip.... I'm glad you brought this up, the more the merrier... More riders, more friendships forged!!!

Anyway happy125, thought of just informing you, this Thursday 4th June 09, Mr Foo and me are planning to ride up to Ulu Bendol, Seremban (the one we postponed last month).... So, if you are free and would like to join us for the trip, you may contact me or Mr Foo directly via SMS or PM...

As I have told you before about the Diversion Club, I would also like to extend an invitation to you to join the next Diversion meetup... I am looking forward to introducing you and Martin to my mentor, Mr Haron... I'm sure you guys will find many similarities in each other...

As for BOWIE, I was thinking of introducing you to Swift... He's about your age, and a trainee teacher at NIE... He kinda reminded me of you when I first got to know him.... Anyway, here is a video introduction of the Diversion Club members which I posted on the Divvy thread earlier....

At about 5pm just now, I was riding around Ah Boy and Lavender area after work, surveying for a bigger windscreen for my XJR, when I spotted a BLACK Fighting Spirits in stock condition!!! Sadly, he was on the opposite side of the road, and zooming away (typical of Fighting Spirits owners), so there was no way I could make a U-turn and catch up with him (like I said before, the Fighting Spirits is a powerful bike with good acceleration...)...

Later in the night, I was parking my bike to have dinner at Woodlands Central when I spotted a 2002 'FW' blue XJR bike... Luckily enough, I saw the rider walking to the bike... So, I immediately went up to him and introduced myself... His name is Hafiz, and looks like someone in his early 20s. We had a chat about the clutch housing and the 'PGMish' sound as mentioned earlier by boneyprominence... He asked about a trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic, so I told him about Ah Chong 525. We also chatted about how the XJR seems to be gaining popularity as more and more XJRs are being spotted... He also mentioned that he started to like XJRs when he saw yamamoto's wedding which was escorted by XJRs. So I told him about the XJR Club. Then he asked for my number, so I gave him my number and explained to him that should he contact me, I will refer him to xjrredbull if he needs more information regarding the maintenance of his 2002 XJR400R.

After he left, then it dawned upon me.. I FORGOT TO TAKE A PIC OF HIM AND HIS BIKE!!!!!! BUMMER.....
