why need to maintain throttle when start bike?? isit too much fuel or too little fuel in the carb causing it? cuz i sometime need to open abit while start the ignition..

the petrol in the carb flow out . than no petrol in the carb to start . that why maintain throttle to let the petrol flow in . if never throttle u only can heard the electric start sound but engine wont start . but normally start bike not need . only that time drop need to maintain .

Same here, my bike fall before. At that time i dunno why cant start, almost wanted to try push start, lucky i called Thomas (s4vtec) and he advised me to hold throttle wide open for a while to allow fuel to flow back in, and press start

the fall caused my right hand brake lever to break and i had to ride home just using my rear brake. scary :faint:

Your idling speed is it? Is it that you meant? After you start the bike, observe the idle point. Vtec1 to 3 should be ard 1000~1300rpm depending. I prefer 1100~1200rpm. After warm up is diff so dun set too high. If keep dying set high and wait for 3~5 mins and let it settle, check the rpm and re-adjust accordingly but becareful not to burn your hand. If unsure or still cannot safer to bring to motortiam. Do you smell alot of petrol fumes ard your bike?
