Bros, if I remove all the restrictor n catalyser inside the stock super 4 header... It will be hollow rite ... Inspection pass or fail n is it good... Cuz some ppl say it's better for the engine n performance ...

powdercoating i read from forum sanfu motor can do it.. but be prepared to pay the price..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Your coolant system is not working right somehow. PM me if you cannot get it solved.

Hey guys, i would like to enquire.. im having difficulty starting my bike, s4 ver.s. My bike wont start. When i press the electric starter and theres only 1 'tick' sound accompanying it but engine wont start. So i had to push start abit forward or backward with clutch out n in then press the electric start and the engine is started. its begin only in the morning to work but now whenever i stop engine, need to do push start procedure again. Anyone noes what seems to be the problem? For what i know it might be the battery or rectifier. Correct me of im wrong coz i dun want to get chopped by bikeshop. Thanks.

i juz got a spec 2

 

1) during riding can feel the heat from the engine, is this normal

 

2) i got trouble handle locking the handle bar the key dont seems to turn left after

pushing in

 

3) Bike handlebar tend to wobble after close throttle and while engine braking, steering cone need to change?

 

Bros pls advice

voiced out durin servicing but the mech say just change coolant.. will check it again later..also will PM you if it still doesnt work...thanks

yo dude, my spec 1 encounter the same problem too. my tick sound come from the starter coil. knocking it solve my problem for awhile but it came back to square one. i did get my batt change, my bike was okay for 2 weeks before same problem persist:sian:nb. atlast i changed the starter coil(i tink the slip brush thingy) cos of wear n tear. totally solved. until now no more problem of that kind.

1)thats normal but if it gets too hot, try changing ur coolant. i encounter the same prob before. i change coolant, still the same. skali the prob is my coolant/fan system. change my faulty fan + bloody coolant again. settled it.

 

2)try spraying wd40. i dont know. sorry. haha

 

3)ya can change steering cone. + i change my rim bearing too and oil seal. no more vibration(wobbly feel) open or close throttle.

sounds like a busted starter relay.. either that or ur starter carbon already gone case..

1) yes, it is hot. but check your coolant level (right side cover) and if your fan is working.

 

2) same for me. but there's a 'technique' to it. do it a few times and you will know how.

 

3) wait for a more experienced forummer to answer this.

That's not good by my standard. He should check all your rubber hoses for sign of rust flakes stuck under the hoses under surface..if have, have to remove them. Then do a rinse till no trace of old coolant inside and top up. If the bike does not gets hot any more..should be alright. If still does, its either the thermostat not opening or coolant pump partially bad..or BOTH.

 

Hope the coolant he uses is not mixed with tap water if its from concentrated..tha's where rust is formulated at the radiator tubings.

Ans to item 2: Your iginition switch key slot and guide is pretty worn overtime liao..about time to change..about $85 but keep the key for your seat lock and fuel cap.

 

Ans to item 3: Its can be just about anything up front. Could be fork oil unlevel due to prolong usage. Tyre pressure incorrect or uneven wear and tear of front tyre.

 

To check if ur cone bearing is koyak..sit on the bike, move the bike forward and brake suddenly..see if the handle bar 'rocks' forward with a soft mild knoncking sound. Otherwise, have the front wheel up, grab the two lower section of your front fork and see if it moves when you push and pull. Also rotate the front wheel and then touch the lower fork section to feel for vibration..if their is, your axle bearing oso koyak liao.

 

Last but not least, if your bike had an accident before, it could be your pair of fork in out of alignment status. Only a good mech trained naked eys can tell or by rotating the front wheel. If this is the case, the pair of fork can be send for machine press.

That's right, likely carbon brush worn or congested with carbon dust between its contact. An air compressor air blast cleaning should solve the problem if not, jsut change the carbon brush. Careful..some mototiam will tell you to change the whole starter motor.
