the DRZ no warning, engine just dies on you? how do you know how much fuel you have left then? or is there no way to tell?

for the first time, see the dist u have travelled with full tank till the engine dies off when it's used up.. remember the dist... when u pump full again, reset the meter then u will roughly know when it will die on u again the next time...

like wat raptor said : "tank capacity: 10 litres. 8 litres with 2 litres of reserve." You know u still have 2 litres of petrol left...

is there some sort of fuel c*** to switch from maintank to reserve? at least you know that you are running on reserve and from there can estimate how much you've got left.

like wat others have said, can just turn the fuel knob to reserve n go find petrol kiosk to pump..

Commemorating the rides in my life:-

for me i just turn the fuel cap to reserve when the engine start to like want to die off.

if u turn on reserve n ride until no petrol, dun panic, tilt the bike to the left, cos the fuel tank is like a A-shape tank sitting on the frame, so there still petrol on the right side of the tank.

u got alot of chioces of street legal exhaust for drz400 sm, cos japanese only make street legal exhaust for the street legal model, n drz400sm is 1 of them.

it's like comparing oranges with lemons u know :D there's nothing you can do about the tail. some hate it. some like it. it's up to individual. oh and you don't get those powerful pull aways that KTM 400 have also when you compare DRZ-SM with it.

did i mentioned that the KTM is lighter too? these 2 bikes are in different classes. one is a ready to race out of the box bike. the other is just a road bike that can give you some fun on the track. :)

Yoshi system cost between the range of $1.5k++ to maybe $1.7k ++

give motoworld a call to get the exact answer. price differ due to options to have carbon sleeve, fire spec and materials of the pipe. comes with either titanium or stainless steel.

I resent the use of the word "lemon"! :D

But with that said, gotta agree with you man. One factor is also the CV carb, just don't quite cut it against the FCRs.

Hi ppl, planning to get a handle-bar for my DRZ, was wondering what kind is recommended, in terms of brands, wide bar, low/mid/high bends, fat bars, i know it depends on what kind of ride I'm in, basically i havnt start riding my motard yet, 7th month, so its going to stay in the shop for another month or so, i hope some pros will enlighten me on the kinds of handle bars used, like whats the different if i use a wide bar from a normal lenght bar on my motard or maybe low bend difference from mid bend, better turning control? lol just wanna know more before getting 1 and hopefully not a wrong 1...:cheeky:

it's all up to personal preference. i have no idea what does a wide bar means. you referring to the sweep of the bar or those tat are longer in length?

the best is if you have a friend who own a drz sm, try the bike and try and see whether u like the way the handlebar is.

the best bet is to get a bend that is almost similar to the stock bend. if you got money to explore, then change to others and sell the old bars.

just fyi, if you want various bends, your only option is i think, maybe tag handlebars and the other is definite, that's renthal bars. they are the only brands that i know with multiple bends in sg. pro taper only have high or mid. if you want other bends, you got to buy from online stores.

We should have a mini DRZ outing once again. YaMaMa_11 will be able to try out the different bars too. :D

once bitten twice shy man... never will i ever do what i did. the best bet is still go for closest to the stock bend. i can't think of a good reason to go for high bend unless rider is going to take jumps with the bike or avoid mirrors.

if too low bend, some dudes don't like it and say it feels like a mountain bike.

pro taper have quite a few bend, most of the bend is 813mm width, only hawkins bend come with narrower bend and with hi low bend.
