Laptop bag for bikers

As written in the topic, I am having trouble finding shops that carry waterproof sleek laptop bags that I can carry on my shoulders like a backpack. I have used normal deluxe sized "schoolbags" for my laptop but appearance-wise and the profile are wierd...my bag sags at the weight of the laptop.

 

Any idea where I could find those kinds of bags?

You can go to Mustafa Shopping centre bro. Go to basement 2 near the exit to the carpark. There will be lots of laptop bags there and there is one particular model which is like a bag-pack. It costs $50.00. You may wish to check it out.

I'm using Crumpler. Costs $198 but it's waterproof! Got 2 layers of protection somemore.

Viewed the bag packs...quite big.

 

In the end, went to Mustafa and got myself a $55 flat-profile laptop bag.

 

Thanks for the suggestions! Will look into them when I'm ready to change bagpacks.

hate to say this but we all always on road, then if sway sway something happen, i would want my notebook to stay protected.

so best is a bag which is tough and waterproof

Jansport also have laptop bags but they are not Waterproof and Very expensive.

I'm using a Echolac Laptop backpack, bought at Mustafa, Luggage section, at about $36, almost two years back. It's a black, nylon mesh, with well designed carrying straps.

 

Although it doesn't look 100% water-proof, but it's carried on your back, the content doesn' get wet easily. Otherwise, get a water-proof cover, about $20, at Sports Connection, to ensure the content remains dry when riding in the rain.

 

From personal experience, no matter how expensive or good the backpack is, if you are carrying a "brick" notebook, like the Dell Inspiron 6400, it still feels like a ton while riding.

YOU can try Timbak2 laptop bag version. I got one messanger bag. So far it the most waterproof bag I had. Been riding in very heavy rain with it. All my stuff in it is super dry. Even my rain coat also cannot keep me dry. Makes me feel like hiding inside the bag to take shelter.

Got a recommendation from Fad that there's a good Timbuk2 seller at HWZ who is offering 15% discount.

Timbuk2 is really good. I am using a Laptop Messenger now and its really a very good waterproof bag. Like what kinwei says, i am always wet but contents in my bag are still super dry. Therefore, my laptop are always super safe. Now i m going to get a Hacker backpack from her.

Anyone interested, maybe we can ask for more discount if we accumulate and buy together?

Timbuk2 comfort level is good.

I have tested out the Hacker Backpack and its great. Really comfortable and look cool.

Therefore decided to get one from her as she offered the best price after going to many shops checking out the prices.
