Actually my parents dun allow me to ride, but I just quote my uncle who ride since 18 till now 50++as an example, so in the end no problem anymore.

Better dun hide, you might not know 1 day who will you meet on the road.

couple months ago there was this article in the new paper. guy got license. dad knows. both keep it secret, dont tell his mom.

the guy was working as a fast food rider when he hit a bus at a junction and died on the spot.

that was when his mom found out.

u want to tell ur own parents, or u want the coroner to tell them for you?

riding without blessing is entirely up to you. riding without them knowing, that is unfair.

I have a fren like you and he is now 35! still riding secretly. He is the only son so parents very anti. Not married lagi worst hahaha! But he already been riding for quite some years! But to me hmmmm its ok but not encouraging to do that. Cos i see that fren of mine he hardly got chance to touch his precious bike. And once he is out with the bike he grow MENACE! So Menace = danger!

TS your choice. Like wat others said its really fair to let them knw you are riding and you will be riding! Even if they object you stil have to stand strong!

I'm not even legal to get my license yet but my mum's already nagging at me when I mentioned I wanna get my 2b next year .

Next year when I'm legalized , I'll just tell my mum but whether she allows me to or not , that's not gonna stop me .

._. my parents are the ones who bought me a helmet and supported me when i started taking 2b..then now my dad allow but my mom change her mind dun wan me buy bike....then at home she has the biggest say..>.>;;

my dad also said it's not fair to ride without her knowledge..so am i supposed to give up on my dream then?

personally..i think its still best is to gain parental approval..if get hurt or what *touch wood*..ur not the only one who suffers..cannot promise nothing will ever happen, but can promise to be ride safe and not take unnecessary risks =p

(plus, can afford more riding gear with their 'support'.. :p)

anyway good luck to anyone facing this dilemma!

baby, u're my love..

hmmm, keep got people polling but no one post reply. lol.

share share some story.

My story go like this , i once hide behind my parents take license and bought bike. until my accident then they discover that i am riding. which i ride for only 2 months.

And suey suey after they know, they allow me to ride but i kanna bang from behind. quite serious abrasion. and my parent force sell my bike. no choice.

now i go ns been driving for 1 year plus. then come out from ns le. wanna buy bike liao. but also dunno how to tell parent. i gt tell mum directly i wanna buy bike. she just say dun buy la . so dangerous all this stuff. haizz. i also dunno wat to do.,

i took my license in secret, my parents only knew when they saw my SP parked downstairs. needless to say, things got quite ugly.

however, i chose to persist, because as much as i know how much my parents care about me, they cant change the one biggest thing i believe in: everything in life is determined by God. it doesnt matter what your religion is, if you're meant to die, you will. and you dont have to be on a bike for it to happen since it can happen anytime, anywhere. of course, some of you may disagree, but this is one thing i really believe in. im christian btw, and so are my parents.

with this mentality, its really difficult to see eye-to-eye with my mom's view that biking is just increased exposure to risk. but 2 years down, they've come to terms with it. i tell myself not to abuse the freedom every single time i ride, and im glad that for me parental objection is something of the past.

thanks for reading my chunk of text. tc and ride safe bros. :)

as long you are under their roof and eating their rice you are obligated to obey them as the value of your life is held by them, but if you are on your own you will realise you are solely responsible for yourself and the value of your own life is in your own hand

then you decide...

again I advocate leave them if you dare so they won't be an excuse anymore

just think "touch wood" the scene at the hospital and the funneral should anything happen.

Life sux..Take control ..and live it and pick yourselves up now.. die later

if the roads end ....i go off road
