got soft compound and also medium soft....

u can try 120/60 for front.. its better in cornering.. the last time round my rs125 using m1 and its not very good on track but quite ok on road during wet weather...

I think you talking about Power Race. That comes in Medium, Medium-soft and Soft. Hmm, maybe i shld give it a try eh.. Are you using that now? How much is it?

And what compound is Pilot Power?

Thanx

power race got no size for the front bro.. 110/70 dun haf.

Pilot Power is wat compound?? Is it the same as GPR70?

Hey Vik,

I'm using Pirelli's Diablo on my bike at the moment.

I think so far, this is the best wet weather tyre I have tried since I have gotten the RS. 120/60 for front and 150/60 for rear.

No idea what compounds are involved in this tyre but I have great dry weather grip too!

Personally I think it's a great road tyre.. If you're looking for road tyres of course.. And for the occasional track.. Haven't had any experience with Michelin Pilot Power so I shan't say anything about it. =p

Looks like alot of ppl going to Xtreme nowadays eh...

There are some who used to say Extreme cheat money, now they also doing their bike there... Interesting..

Hey Vik,

uh... I have been going to Xtreme ever since I started hunting for respectable bikes shops when I first got my license locally. So far, I have had no complaints with their work and technical knowledge. They are able to answer my questions from a technical point of view as they know I am an engineer and can understand what they are talking about.

At the same time, I do also admit that the prices in Xtreme can get rather pricey. However, I do not mind parting with that little bit more if I can get a peace of mind when it comes to riding my little baby.

I think most of the people here who go to Xtreme recently must have been kinda dragged there by me. (blushes sheepishly) Some of the guys here have been asking me where I get my bike done and all that kinda thing, and then decided to try it themselves.

I have no idea why they decide to continue with the services at Xtreme though. Perhaps they would be in a better position to tell you why they decided have their bikes serviced at Xtreme?

DO NOTE THAT I AM NOT, NOT, NOT PROMOTING XTREME IN ANY WAY!!!!!

It is just some place that I go to when I need something done on my bike, and someplace that I hang out when I have nothing better to do as I like the company there..

Cheers!

=)

Dear Clarence,

1) For your fork oil issue, I do believe that they gave you a good reply as to why they are not changing your fork oil on that day.

2) I think that most clutch issues can be solved without replacing the clutch cable. Unless of course, if the cable breaks. The clutch cable is a steel cable if I remember correctly. If the cable is made of steel, then how would it actually lose it's tension? I think that is the reason why they said that you most probably do not have to change the cable.

3) Did you happen to come on a day when they were preparing their race bikes? If you did, then they definately would tell you to come again another day. Either that, or there were quite a few of their regular customers who have sent their bikes there. They give their regular customers priority when it comes to servicing.

I'm so sorry that you have had such a bad experience with Xtreme. Honestly, I kinda experienced this when I first started off with them too!

Seraph,

Nothing against anyone who services their bike at Xtreme. In fact, i'm pretty impressed they managed to sway quite afew ppl away from First Motor.

Nevertheless, I have always tried not to be dependent on only 1 bike shop. I purchase most, or if not all my parts myself, before asking my mechanic to fix. Even First Motor can be expensive at times, but i know i'm payimg for quailty, and i offset the higher price by providing my own parts.

Anyway, i think you infered my post wrongly. All i stated was, an observation. People who condemned Xtreme before, now are meekly going there to serivce their bikes. Seems abit weak to me. Just goes to show that they didnt know how good Xtreme was and chose to run their mouth before having a accurate opinion of them.

But i seem Diablo is getting quite popular.

i went there on a tuesday afternoon.. slightly just after the rain has stopped.. btw i went to my usual hangout bikeshop place to check instead.. gave up on xtreme & FM.. the mechanic told me the one you adjust the tension of the cluch cable @ the engine casing(dono issit call engine casing or clutch casing) that part, the thread gave way.. so no matter how you adjust.. you clutch in, clutch out.. there u go.. back to square 1.. pretty surprise how i manage to struggle all the way there with a screwed up clutch problem.. so now hunting for that "piece of thing" inside there.. btw mel' any idea what's issit call? u got the manual of the aprilia engine details? like what parts wat parts..

As a matter of fact, I actually DO have the WORKSHOP service manual for our RS125's.. With detailed instructions and pictures to guide you on how to DIY your bikes.

Perhaps I could find the part number for the part you are requesting for and you could go find out if they sell it at Weda or Ideal...
