anyone here who is kind-hearted to share their knowledge on how to reset the service indication spanner that appears on the digital speedometer of rs,06?already done servicing,but mech don,t know how to reset.

Running in is not about the speed. It's all about the revs and temperature.

Please also note the engine load you are putting on. Keep it low so that the revs stay high and on the edge of or within the band.

Hi Mel, with the number of cameras on the roads these days and the way I ride, my bike is jail-bait man. I'm having second thoughts about riding already. I'm quite comfy with public transport, or as Edwin puts it, BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk).

Only a mech qualified to service an Aprilia will know how to reset the servicing mileage counter. Perhaps you took your bike to a shop who uses Malaysian mechs? Just FYI, Mah also uses Malaysian mechs.

 

I could tell you how, but that would, in the words of Jesse quoting his grandfather in Before Sunset, "...take the piss out of the whole thing." A bike is just a bike is just a bike. Save the drama for your mama. We're talking men talk here.

Just make sure you service your bike regularly. Regular maintainance is better than a huge repair bill.

Why would you be a hazard? Riding under 7,500rpm is still within your powerband and would see you between 90-110kph. Definitely within SG's speed limits, and still within the run-in rev range of 6,000-7,500rpm. Nothing more, nothing less. And your temperature shouldnt be over 70 (on pre-06 models) and 5 bars (on 06/07 models).

 

Running in is commonly done using a slightly richer mixture, based on the flawed misconception of nearly every mech in SE-Asia that richer is better. With richer mixtures, you get incomplete combustion as the higher petrol ratio snuff the combustion and acts as a coolant to keep running temperatures lower.
