hi all. i know this has probably been asked many times. but where is a good place to service the rs-125? also, has anybody gone to de-restrict the bike? sorry. one last question. has anybody fitted the arrow pipe on the rs or changed to the full system?

I had used full system arrow pipe and now using full custom made stainless steel system. Arrow full system had mid to high range only, low is bad....and rust after a year of use...now with custom made stainless steel system, low is better. If you are interested in this SS system, can contact me for a view, no obligation. 97738966

Low end is better, mid~high not much different from arrow system...this is what i feel...different bike might behave differently due to different set up. Mine is 96 model with standard block but with 54mm size vortex piston.(original is 53.99) Most important is no more rust for me...:thumb: Arrow system rust very easily after its high temp coating break down...:giddy:

hee..I m quite new here so not very understand all the short term used. eg. what is "FF", "MK".....:cheeky:

I not very sure how does the size of the chamber made the different...2 stroke engine have different pulse of exhuast gas flow that determine the response of a engine. The chamber volume n shape that would play a part in how a engine can perform. Finally is the pipe size n lenght after the chamber. The reserch showed that a 22~24mm size would enable a 2 stroke work best.(GP pipe is 24mm) As for the length, not sure.....:cheeky:

Anyone can contribute a bit, would be beneficial everyone.....:thumb:

By the way, it need not to be very rich to get good stuff. My SS chamber is 15% cheaper then a Arrow system. Arrow or other big name have to cost more for their advertising. :) Interested? :)

since you stay in BP.... if you see an kup kia rider with AGV helmet. that is me... interesting topic. Helmet is a very personal choice isn't it? And most often budget constraint is the one that limit what FF to get. I guess any know brand of helmet does provide good enough protection. Any HJC and MHR FF that cost 100+ looks nice and provide decent protection.

Of cos i think those that cost 1000+ have air con inside.... cos most riders will wear it for a long time..... even when we meet for kopi..... Take asferi for example, i remember him wearing his 1400 AGV from the time he got off his bike till almost the uncle finish making the kopi....

BTW asferi bro.... u still have not tell me what is the trick to hint your the other half to buy you such a expensive FF? my wife is bck and i need to hint her prior to x'mas.

Although Arrow will rust rather fast but with good care and preventive measures , rusting can be slowed down to minimial .. My 2 yr old old Legal arrow looks much newer than most 1month old arrow systems while my 1yr old Gienelli system is much better outlook compared to many ... FYI , I am the 1st in SG to install Legal Arrow in 2005 feb and 1st in 2006 nov to install Gienelli Legal system .. my 2 Legal mild steel system look much better than most even though they are the oldest around , its all depend on the care and preventive measures..

Street Legal arrow and Gienelli offer the best top end >12k rpm with smooth delivery all the way from rpm 4k while illegal arrow offer good low and mid range 7-11rpm ..

Having a good exhuast system is only part of the game .. Most importantly whether the overall parts and system is in sync and whether they are complementing each other and not bottleneck by any parts

:sian: Maybe becos i running on a totall stock internal system so i feeling ok wit the Legal systems .. I am a very slow and relax rider only going after looks of a CF look of a Gienelli system , not for out right performance

Posted

According to an article i read somewhere from a 2 stroke race forum , mild steel offers the best reasonance and vibes for 2 stroke plus its one of the cheapest materials .. Even GP and alot of competitive 2 stroke races etc also prefering using mild steel systems..

so in terms of perfermance wise mild steel would still be the best

look wise SS or rainbow color of a titanium system would look slick
