Thanks bro, mine has a whole lotta history behind its 2 years of me riding it. As for ushering me into the club, that's ok, do dispense with this ritual.

Do put the legacy SG Aprilians into perspective instead, as I will explain below.

I've seen and participated (albeit a little) the past Aprilia club that started way back in 2005, they were a dynamic group, most of their members participated in racetrack riding, etc.

They even had a forum at Aprilians.com; that's one of the ways they "hang out", socialised a lot and had lots of hands-on DIY articles like carb and power-valve cleaning, and the like.

I really learned a ton from them, as well as from reading up their articles. But now the chapter has ended, heard some of them upgraded, and the site closed down....now I guess guys like you compose the new generation of Aprilia riders, hope you guys can continue the legacy; the enthusiastic Aprilians as it was before.

I'm not sure about you and the current members hanging out in this thread but whether their existence has had direct influence in where you stand today. All the better if that influence had positive effects on you guys.

Cheers, ride safe on the roads, and stay upright! :)

I only get to know this web and previous close down web begining of the year.:cheeky: But I had been ride my aprilia from 1996 till now.:thumb: From 1996~1999 is the best years of Aprilia where people can see how this bike can perform. I also not sure current members doing any hang out or not but still feel great that seeing people still interested in this bike.:) Hope that anyone still can hold on that, enjoy the ride and ride safe.:thumb:

2005? i juz got my bike in Nov dat year.im trying to remember if i seen u ard or not.i know u rode aprilia b4 :)

Bro, I think I might have seen you a few times passing by BP Ring Road. I do see this rider in stock coloured RVF sometimes with black protective riding jacket.

By the way, I used to ride a silver FR plater Aprilia RS125.

That bugger had just had its powervalve cable snapped and it's sitting there waiting for a new one. Meh...

I don't ride my RS125 that often nowadays, got myself a '400 as well and riding it often.

Oh, and for those who still need the DIY articles on carb cleaning/powervalve cleaning from that website, I have it archived as PDF on my computer.

bro if i,m not wrong,it,s not ur bearing problem as i came across tis problem before.it,s the balancing gear that broke.try and bring ur bike to First Motor workshop,@ubi industial(block 3006,ubi rd 1,#01-398) look for AhSeng the mechanic.he may solve ur problem.and i don,t tink u might need to change ur speedo cable etc.........

Alone the crankshaft bearing there are 2 pcs it cost less than $100. If gear box bearings after cost less than $100. If you dismantle engine, all gaskets will need to change too. Normally, all oil seals change together is better as some time when they knocking out the crankcase & bearing, they might damage them too. Alone material cost should not cost more than $300. Remaining depend how bike shop want to charge you the labour cost. You can go ideal motor check the price, they will give you exact value.:thumb:
