All the dudes looking for valves, better grab this fast.

Lawrence, you have them in stock already?

Sadly, stock will only be in mid-September.

But anyone interested can PM me to reserve one. Stocks are limited!

Just spoke to Mr Seng at FM about the secret box.

It's meant to advance your ignition. This is all well and good as long as you keep your revs ABOVE 9,000rpm ALL THE TIME.

Advancing your ignition means that the spark plug fires and starts the detonation of the compressing air/fuel mixture inside your cylinder BEFORE the piston reaches TDC (Top Dead Centre). This means that under low revs, expanding hot gases are pushing DOWN on your piston while the piston crown is still on its way up to TDC. This adds a lot of pressure and stress on your conrod and crankshaft as the piston is now compressing an expanding body of gas.

This is only good if you are racing on track all the time, and your revs NEVER fall below 9,000rpm.

But under normal riding, where your revs hardly exceed 8,000rpm most of the time, extreme heat build-up will occur on the surface of the piston crown near the exhaust port side. This, combined with a constant high pressure burst against the top of the piston per revolution, will melt a hole through the piston nearer to the exhaust port, causing what is known as a 'blow-hole seizure' - essentially, a small hole melts through the piston and compression is immediately lost as gases pass through the piston directly into the crank below. The piston crown will look very white ash-grey, with a small jagged hole melted through the exhaust end of the crown. I've seen this many times before on bikes with advanced ignition timing ridden gently like a cruising/touring bike. The owner and mechanic almost always never understands how this can happen despite his 'gentle' riding.

On a brighter note, this sort of piston failure will not damage your cylinder walls. Just change your piston, and voila! You're on your way to another dramatic melt-down.

Have fun!

lol having known this. i guess there's no need to change my riding style on the road. But i realise someting. There seem to be a slight retard on the throttle when moving off. Im currently using power abuser.

Tuas track hours of operations are from 9 AM to 7 PM from Wednesday to Sunday.

$20 per hour, $30 for 2 hours and $50 for the whole day.

Only on the Saturday Nite specials or when there is a track riding clinic for newbies on Saturday morning at 9 AM, there is no requirement for leather suits but the normal safety gear of jackets, jeans, boots, gloves and full face helmets just like PG are a minimum.. after all its your skin. This waiver is the track management's call.

Other than these 2 occasions... full leather suits must be worn for track practice.

Raptor! Thank you very much for the info! (been googling it this evening) :D

It's been a long time, but it seems only yesterday that I nearly bit the dust and slammed into the wall at Turn 2 while attempting a foolish overtake on you. hahahaahahaa...

Hope to catch up with you (figuratively and literally) at the Tuas track some time!

Cheers, and happy tracking!
