Anyone know how big the reserve tank for the RS250 is? I'm hitting reserve at around 140km, don't know how far it'll go after that.

I think loving maintenance is precisely one of the few things that can justify a high bike price. Who cares if a bike has a Vforce carbon fiber reed valve if the owner never changed gear oil?

Heheh, I guessed that you saw my middle name on my namecard. You can call me anything that's convenient. I once had a friend who trained with me in swimming, and he insisted on calling me "Andoo!", which was also ok with me :faint:

I noe its probably a good idea but i'm never comfortably with using somebody else's equipment :giddy:

Early last year I saw this guy with this very cool gadget when we were having a night track session.

Unfortunately, I didnt get the chance to ask where he got it from.

Its a electrical device that is attached to the speedo and god knows where else from what I can recall.

Its a HUD unit that shows yr current speed, rpm and gear ure in.

The display is on your visor so theres no need to glance down at yr speedo.

I believe you can adjust the HUD to show the data in different colours, adjust brightness and also what you would like to display eg. avg, max speed.

Very handy with the speed constantly displayed in your helmet.

Anybody knows what Im talking about or where I can get this product?

Most people go through life following the crowd.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

Woah, I was just fantasizing with Lawrence the other night about such an HUD device. I would pay good money for something like this - it would be mind blowing! Did you see this device on a bike or car? In Malaysia, Australia, or elsewhere? How would it be installed in your visor? Anyone have any leads?

People, I've been googling. Check this out. A steep US$299.99 (about S$500) but I might just blow my bonus on this at the end of the year.

Holy sh*t! The veypor now has helmet mounted HUD???? :lovestruck:

After examining the info on Veypor's website more carefully, it looks like the HUD requires you to separately purchase one of the Veypor sensor gauges (US$279.99-US$329.99). The HUD is just a display device for a Veypor gauge so you have to get both. Wow, so that's a minimum investment of about US$580 (S$960). Ooook. You know what? I'm still interested. After all, I was planning to buy a digital speedo together with Lawrence. Maybe I'll hold off and save up for this combo. If it works as advertised (a big "if"), it'll be money well spent. Sophisticated, high-tech stuff. Er, but really not cheap eh?

Ha! I not scared! *readying my wooden head & empty wallet for the blow* But must wait till year-end then can test, heheheh  Speaking of tests, stay tuned for an update on my long-term testing of the Superione fuel-saving/performance-boosting device, hopefully within the week.

Wacko> My bike still f*cked lah... No suitable 2nd hand blocks available and I don't want to spend the money on a brand new one. The other problem is the blocks for the pre Y2k and post y2k models are different and can't be interchanged. This sucks as there are a number of 2nd hand blocks around for the pre y2k bikes.

Chris...according to what i've read from british bike magazines and bike forums the veypor seemingly works better than advertised! I believe it was voted best gadget for bikes on Stuff UK.....but again the price does deter people, even those in the UK but if i had the extra cash i certainly think it would be worth it especially since if u upgrade you can just transfer it to ur new bike :cheer:

chris, ya wanna pay a visit to the scrap yard?

as long as it's a rotax 122, why can't ya use a pre y2k engine??

i believe the later replica are using the same engine as the y2k 1s..

only the earlier replica are using rotax 123 which is a 1000cc engine..

I'm told that there is a very slight difference in the block by the guys at ideal. Something to do with the number stamped on it. Pre Y2k ends with the digits 16 and post is 18...

:(

yeah, think I need to go visit the scrap yard but dunno where it is.

You didnt get the block from Chengxi? His is a Y2K right?

Yah, heard from one of my friends that the latter Replica (not sure if its the one with internal name "harada") is the same as Y2K. The block and gearbox thingy is improved from the earlier Replica.

I am not a mechanic, I might be wrong. So, please check with others!
