Not everyone can appreciate the Silverwing.

You might want to invest in a 2nd hand instead.

 

A few older model FJS400 on sale in the garage sales thread, averaging 8k.

For newer model SW-T, expect 12k+/- for a 2-3 year old.

Contrary to that, I find it has it's own appeal. It's the ONLY 2A twin scooter, caters to taller folks who want more legroom and shorter folks who want to flat feet at stops, lots of storage, reliable and easy to sell. Those who appreciate own 2 - 3 units in history :)

Tap to the headlight sound simple ,provide I knoe which wires are black or red. plus the position of the voltmeter is nearer and shorter .

 

FJS: schematic says gray=ground, white=live. tech corner should have.

AN650L3 (current): All mod transferred.

SW-T400 (till oct 13): voltmeter, safety features disabled. coocase v36+remote. Adjustable, folding Brake levers. Givi AF318 windshield. on-off switch(pilot light, head light, hazard light), electrical seat unlatch,Dr pulley.

AN400K6 (apr07-dec11): side deflectors, J Costa variator, Dr pulley slider + HiT clutch.

YP250, RVF400/RS250, NSF125.

Looi's Motor has ready stock a dark gray SWT with ABS. On the road about $19.5K

ok I go round island see see look look tis sat. see if got other colour also.

buying SW from Looi's must specifically ask whether that particular bike is from BS.

although Looi's is an "authorised dealer" for BS, it also brings in their own SW thru parallel channels at times.

 

BS used to have policy of not servicing PI bikes (my CBX Custom was refused service years ago even when they were servicing for TP). now they do but impose "surcharge", pocket up the lorry lor :pity:

Update for NC700 riders...

 

Recall for owners of NC700 Series

 

 

Description of defect:

Due to improper heat treatment of specific supplier drive chain’s outer plates with excess hardness were installed in the drive chains, leading to delayed fracture. It may cause the drive chain falls off.

 

Corrective actions and steps to be taken to rectify defect:

Add a tempering process to the heat treatment process of specific supplier driver chain’s outer plates to promote proper hardness.

All affected NC700 units to be bought to Honda dealership for inspection and replacement if necessary.

Join cafe should be fine; join tour tough as touring speed is 130km/h.

Loois now also got policy... If bike not purchase from them can't service there.. Haha...

hmm... Baba House got offer for 4th day of CNY (13 Feb 13) at RM 89.76 plus tax = RM 104 for a twin room.

Not sure got stalls open liao boh.

 

Come to think of it, I'll be spending Valentine's Day in KL!

Got excuse for ping pong games.

Me too. Is please with my silver wing. Currently riding my 2nd silverwing which is the fjs400 model.

I can say that this bike met mainly all my criteria. Eg, huge storage, sofa alike seats for both rider and pillion, quiet and smooth engine, came with integrated 12v charging port, easy to maintain, runs good even on 92 grade petrol and lastly it has a decent acceleration.
