Just contribute some experieience I had with my JDM

should be same year as urs.

17km/l since the day i bought it

Ive changed to 26g Dr pulley roller and a new belt months back.

(rpm drop 500, Previously 5.5k rpm for 90km/h, Now its 5k rpm for 90km/h)

No fuel saving for me with dr pulley or the original 28g green roller

Infact I enjoy the 28gm roller more for the mid range speed...it pulls better.

My last 2 full tank did 15.5 to 16 km / L only hahaha got a rude shock.

Waiting for the torque spring to come and then I'll likely change the variator, clutch and clutch bell etc.

I also open the lid to check the air/vaccum valve to look see...one of them is open to the max (end)

whilst the other is about 2+ turn...duno why so much diff..

time to do airscrew sync.

note that vacuum levels may not be synchronized when both screws are at same "turns". you'll need vacuum gauges or tools like carbtune to measure/level the settings.

Try spamming wd40 into left hand switch. Look for any gap n really spam wd40 inside until dripping. Worked on all my bikes. Haha

thanks Scooby,

do u know where to buy the vaccum guage locally ?

Saw on ebay about S$65/pair to door but must wait.

Suppose to tune it at Ac motor..but curious to DIY and see the results with different turn.

Normal Air screw is 2 turns out.

Don't touch 1 side (use a reference) and only adjust the other to balance.

Adjust (for both balance and RPM) only after the bike has warmed up significantly. Best after a ride.

As for RPM, there are 2 points the bike would have stable RPM.

1.1k or 1.3k or around there. * Original bike normally comes with 1.3k+/-.

Place you hand at the handle grip and also watch the front shield for vibration.

The least vibration the better, yah?

i also can't find from sg websites so bought from amazon in the end. if got pp keen to DIY, i dun mind organising a DIY session at my place MSCP one of the weekends. but 1st gotta dig it out from store and check if the gauges are still working or not

if you dun mind paying more, can consider liaise with seller and ask for overnight express air freight... you'll get it in a matter of days :p

my phantom's chrome parts/forks became rusty after foolishly using as cleaning/lubrication agent. paid for the lesson and stopped using it on bikes ever since :p

But sw no chrome parts ma? And my fren whack wd40 ALL over his st11. Damn swee. 3 years already. Still damn swee. Haha. But if u think wd40 cant, then maybe you can use other types of contact cleaners/penetrants to spray? Those which are proven to not cause rust?
