per the quick fix suggestion, swap over the hi and lo beam pin terminals at the left handle bar control connector. hi beam switch is now for low beam. no need cut wires or whatsoever. you prob need something sharp n fine to extract the pin terminal.

also can connect 1 wire from cig socket+ to bulb+

have you done continuity check to trace the faulty wire?

AN650L3 (current): All mod transferred.

SW-T400 (till oct 13): voltmeter, safety features disabled. coocase v36+remote. Adjustable, folding Brake levers. Givi AF318 windshield. on-off switch(pilot light, head light, hazard light), electrical seat unlatch,Dr pulley.

AN400K6 (apr07-dec11): side deflectors, J Costa variator, Dr pulley slider + HiT clutch.

YP250, RVF400/RS250, NSF125.

going to down the head cowl and trace the faulty wire this evening.

i have a first suspect to investigate for this problem... bypass circuit for the low beam on-off switch.

if problem is due to the splicing becoming loose, then ho say liow... i'll just have to solder it on properly this time.

the mech reconstructing my scoob's head few years back could have used the easy but less secure splice-n-tape method :p

btw, i have bought the same butane gas soldering iron set you posted. went through all 3 levels and found the best price at the basement shop you mentioned :thumb:

My contacts at the switch is no good.

I did that too, replaced my maxia's original led lights with 3 strips of much brighter 5050 LED strips plus a relay to make it blink when activated.

In case some on the ball inspectors may not pass the blinking lights during annual inspection, I always disable the lights before going :p
