Think the should be fairly similar. It was reported that moto360 suppose to be closer to pebble steel. But recently, the report state that value will go up.

Hey Bros, where do you service your bike other than AC motor? I need to do a few things like belt change, replace tire & brake which will cost quite a bit so hope can find some good suggestions and advices. Thanks alot!

Ac motor is familiar in handling our bikes, especially dealing with transmission.

you will never want a guy who doesn't have experience in dealing with scooter to try out servicing your bike.. he charge abt $180 for a pair of new tires.

alternative shops for scooter servicing are tai hin and future scootering.

If you want to save on labor cost then probably diy is the choice le.

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Solo?

Must get GF at every Stopover. Very laychey. hehe. Just joking.

Let's talk about:

Personal Safety

Traveling alone near KL region is not recommended. The rest of the country are ok but still must read news and identify crime-prone towns.

Should get hotel with private parking or able to park right in front of lobby.

Get a bike lock.

Thailand generally no problem.

Riding

North South highway can ride fast. Trunk road should go slower. I usually do 100km/h on minor roads. Too many pot holes.

Thailand... should not go more than 120km/h on main roads (between town/cities). The road condition is unpredictable.

At least a proper riding jacket, jeans and shoes.

Never ride at night if possible. To many creatures crossing the road and no time for reaction.

Thailand roads are too reflective and glaring to vehicle lights.

Money?

Can activate your ATM card for overseas (specific dates or duration) so that you can withdraw when needed. * Got admin charges so cannot draw too little too frequent.

Don't keep all your money at the same place.

Best to have them (including spare bike key) stashed at a secret compartment in your bike or somewhere else. Mine is secret...

Your Bike

Make sure bike is fully tune/serviced before the trip. Learn to DIY if possible.

Bring the necessary tools/parts for urgent repairs. **Spark plugs, tire repair... I even have my Rectifier. I bring 12V torque wrench on super long journey.

That's why I like scooters with big big storage.

You

Plan the trip early and in detail. Run the sequence through your mind. Get a print out if possible. *Don't rely too much on the GPS (it's only for back up). You'll forget how to think after sometime.

Know your limits in terms of endurance. Some people butt splits after just 1 hour. My longest non-stop ride was 340km in 3 hours++.

Know your sleepy time. Sometimes I get sleepy after lunch up to about 3pm. More stops if necessary.

Drink more water! Fluid lost during riding is not noticeable until you get a fever.... a few days later. Drink lots of water at every stop. *Of course that will also limit your riding distance per section because you need to pee more. We usually recommend 150km to 200km distance max (that'll be about 1.15hrs to 1.45hrs.

Insurance

Must buy travel insurance for yourself and if in Thailand, get the 3rd party one.

Note your bike insurance covers up to Hatyai. Beyond that you're on your own. That's why better ride safe and come home safely. If you're alone, you set the pace.

Hmm... anything else?
