Hi Scoobydoo

So there is no way to avoid the drilling I suppose?

Ha I wish I could join the kopi session on Thursday, been waiting for my SW since July.

Bike production say earliest end of September I can get the bike. Can't wait.

Where do you guys normally hold the kopi session?

Hi bro! if you wanna use H&B top box, then the rack is also the base plate. and SW comes wif a rack so u just need a base plate to fit a box.

What's a "mandatory pass"?

it means STA let you pass overall. u dun need to get it change and go back for a re-inspection. but they will tell you to change or remove the item. and if LTA/TP catch you for the item, they will bnot be liable.

think i ever saw in US silverwing.org that someone is using a fabricated rack, mounted using the 2 big screws and glued rubber spacers between the rack and tail fin.

don't think there's any commercially available rack that does the same here. if want, can try check with Seng Kwang if they can help fabricate a rack that doesn't need to drill the tail fin.

even the recommended mounting method in Honda UK is to mount the base plate directly to its tail fin (think that is Honda's main intention for the tail fin).

see http://www.doble.co.uk/content/pdfs/Accessories/silverwing.pdf

as for joining the meetup, don't need to ride a silver wing, just come.

s a matter of fact, many of our kakis are not riding the SW anymore :p

Very good question and I think you hit the jackpot! 77310-MCT_000ZB is common to all sw model, sw-t included! ZB denote color code. I didnt even thought of that!

Attached pic is off my JDM parts catalogue. 5,7,8 are old model. 9 is for swt, eg FJS400A9 is swt400abs.

See see my reply below.

Guys. New owner of a old 400 here. . Questions

1) rear suspension. Any suggestion

Old MCT model, 54200-MCT = damping too hard (approx $460 a pair @ FJT).

New SW-T model, 54200-MFT = Spring rate too soft, pre-load used up in 6 months (approx $570 a pair @ FJT via order).

After market Hagon = performance between the 2 above but with better pre-load setting (approx from $380-$400, online via wemoto).

2) front fork. . Any suggestion

Use original Spring (51401-MCT-003) if you like the softness (approx $100 a pair @ FJT)

Or Use the harder Hyperpro Progressive (approx $260 without install). * 2nd hand... I have @$100. haha.

Use 10wt or 15wt fork oil.

3) windshield. . Where to get locally

Can get the Givi type. All around $250++.

4) AC motor. . for most of you? ?

Mostly AC Motor. Or any shop specialized in Scoots will do.

Hi bros,

Can anyone help me with this?

Tried starting bike but only hear clicking sound from rear..

Is it battery weak or any other problems?

No reset when I tried to crank but only click sound every time I press on start button.

Thank you!

Make sure ur side stand is up.

Make sure ur engine kill switch, the red one on the right of handle bar, is not off.

Make sure u r pressing ur left brake hard enough, sometimes there is dirt in the brake lever switch causing hindrance to starting.

If all fails, fault could be a weak battery. If it is not due to weak battery, could be starter motor issue.

How old is your silverwing? Is likely due to worn starter carbon or starter relay.
