Guys lately..my bike have difficulty to start in the morning...crank alot of time...few throttle den can start...but for afew secs only & die off..afew crank again a little bit of throttle is start...& move off..few meters bike move slowly lik wana die off again...idling very low....bike lost power alot...slowly ride thru xpressway i notice whn temp needle reach slightly abv half the bike travel normal but wif alittle power lost..been lik tis for few days liao...den tis morning took very long time to start with a lot of crancking..decide to take my opc car or i will be late for werk...

 

Haiz..any bro hv tis issue b4? wats the cause of it ya? got afew on my mind for the issue...& worried for the cost haiyah...

 

1)due to carb dirty(but why whn hot its ok)

2) low engine oil(but the redlight indicator nvr on whn riding)

3)plugs(changed it yest but still same prob)

4)coil

 

will send my bike to botak & let him see...if repair cost alot might aswell i changed bike...praying hard hope its juz a minor prob

Yes, do get botak to check. Btw, how old is your bike and its mileage. Are you original bike owner or 2nd hand?

Pray hard is not gasket burn off.....

1st: hard to start because coolant have wet your sparkplug.

2nd: when sparkplug dry off, power is regain....

3rd: Gasket burn off lost compression.....

 

Just guess only.....I kena gasket burn and tahan back from penang.

u saw the shop but dunno how to go inside?

 

go in from the front la, thru the door. not thru the window.

 

Botak shop is not go in from front la.... is back one leh.... :p

 

Yup, both end got the stone barrier, but no need to worry tat.. juz stop your bike there and go in ask botak to ride in. He will show you how he go in.... not joke, is true.....:)

My bike no hope already. i always stuck at expressway.

spent so much money repairing.. finally i visit botak. honest chap do my bike check here there ask me change rectifier battery go buy my own n test if cannot go back see him.no wonder people say don't go shop at kallang.

 

 

met new bike frens at botak . majority say they from kallang then now stick with botak. :thumb:

 

cut story short, i'm goin botak again ask him see my bike. if really cannot do will scrap n dekit.

 

Got a few 1-2 mth old items bought from kallang. will keep u guys update if dekit.

haiz spent almost $1k already. Paid my school fees haha.

lesson learn no more scooter for me.. :(

The bane of X9 is high maintenance and overheating when traffic jam, although the ride comfort is great. I'll consider Honda PCX or Sym GTS for my next ride change. I heard these are more reliable and cheaper maintenance than Italian scoots.

X9 u hv to maintain it well from the very beginning. Once the 1st owner neglects the bike, it will go downhill. My fren beenriding this bike since day 1, almost 6-7 yrs i think, n no major repairs so far. For those who buy 2nd hand, jus pray hard.

 

N i also think the parts wear n tear faster.

Agree. I'm 1st owner and been riding it 7 years. Minimal repairs as I've been keeping it well. Nevertheless, planning to change bike some time later this year.

Hi fellow x9'ers,

 

I am riding x9 Evo and recently the wheels start to spin when idle when on mainstand. Initially it's just abit, but now it start to spin faster. my idle is

Hi guys i have x9 goldfren pads for $20 inclusive of installation.

 

Kutrax, do a one time carb cleaning from botak. if problem still occur, maybe due to poor ignition coil power to spark ur spakplugs. plug cables too faulty at times.

 

so far botak recommended from lotsa chaps in scoot forum.

I just checked the price. That green LCD display cost $350 b4 GST. *faint*

How time flies...

 

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.

Guys. i need some advice. Where to for a reliable servicing for the x9 evo?. where to go and make duplicate key and cost?.

I hear there is market for second LCD speedometer. Anyone knows where I can get 1?

 

I have searched for a year, no luck in finding a working conditioned one. Market price is $380+. Be aware that your actual mileage will not be reflected in the new LCD anymore. Ie if you get brand new, it'll read 0km when you plug in. I found a faulty piece, had the mechanic change some blown fuze within, and manage to replace it onto my bike. Mileage is thus wayyyyyyyyy off now.........

 

My honest advice; Unless you gonna renew COE and Overhaul the bike for another term, don't bother replacing. It ain't worth.

Thanks 2992. when i first read about x-9 evo 7 , 8 years ago, I heard so many good things. now that i buy second hand and hear many people comment, i am dissapointed. personally my own evo has no problems except the LCD meter. probably will renew the coe when it is going to expire. but then i will never know. 1 year later complete overhaul. any1 knows how much will that be???

X9 is indeed a good bike, but as age catch up, parts also start to fail.

Not only X9 face this problem. Just that the part is not cheap and odd parts fail...:faint:

 

My X9 LCD from day 1 till now have replaced the LCD once due to melt background.

 

I still love my X9 even i got other bike now....It have started my touring bug....:cheeky:

Drop by Botak and ask him directly, it all depends on the state of your bike. He's so no nonsense that once he 'refused' to change my belt at 11k, ask me to wait out till 18K to change.

 

My bike runs perfect except for the LCD screen. I do not really care about cosmetics though. Plastic trims are all sun bleached out, very rusty exhaust downpipe, minor scratches from previous owner are still undone. But this fella gives me good FC (IMO), cheap to maintain and comfortable point to point, I may just renew COE when time hits. As long as the bike serves my purpose, comments can always come and go.....Would love to DIY CF on those plastics and respray the exhaust, when I have time one of these days.....

By the way what is wrong with your LCD? No display or 'melted' LCD panel?
