Not to be racist, just a funny observation, I think Malays prefer the style of the Runner, while Chinese prefer the style of the G-Max. Of course, every rule has its exceptions. :D

Seems like words of wisdom. :D

The look of the two bikes are quite different. More sharp edges for the G-Max, and bulkier look of the new Runner. The older Runners have the curves. I'd say go for the look you prefer. It feels better justifying a decision because of your feelings, rather than justify it because of $.

I don't think the two bikes are that different in cost. The parts for the G-Max are lower, but Runner seems to have a better resale demand, so that might all even out in the end.

I'm a chinese, but i love the runner better because of it's brand and quality. hahaha proud to be owner of an italian bike.

abt the exhaust bracket, very true. actually this bike is only 172cc though its written GTS200. it shares the same engine as the Joyride. actually, better look for another brand bike. even Kymco works better.

Up slope can be faster than any 1.1L car, pick up quite fast, quite a reliable scooter. Maintenance quite cheap, can be cheaper than any Italy scoot. FC ard 25km/L, so it's quite fuel economical for such a big scoot.

Honda TA 200 (Apr05 - Dec05)

Kia Picanto 1.1M (Jan06 - now)

SYM GTS 200 (Jan07 - Jun08)

Husqvarna SM 125 (Jul08 - Mar09)

SYM GTS 200 (Mar09 - ???)

Just got this bike last week.

Quite a pleasant ride. Here is a quick summary of likes and dislikes.

Likes

1. Easy to ride

2. Lot of meters/light indicators if you like to know every status of the bike

3. There is a charger in the compartment, yet to try using it

4. Ability to turn on hazardous light if need

5. Quite stable even on highway and windy condition (heavier scooter)

6. Larger storage seat compartment, able to put in a open face helmet and my JRays riding jacket too.

Dislikes

1. Quite loud during idling and vibration on the visor is visible, reduces after the engine warm up.

2. A little hard over humps, I guess the wheels are small, but going to check with the shop on the suspension in the next servicing.
