You went missing way too long..

Problems arise from advancement of technology - it causes unnecessary misunderstanding among us humans.

inspection soon... is it normal to do maintenance before or after inspection?

Oh yea is it possible to fail inspection without a proper p-plate? mine is like just using stickers to make something that looks like a p-plate but not the same size...

Maintenance not necessary... As long as ur emission is okie.

No illegal mods to be detected.

If u never go for inspection before.... They test smoke emission, signal lights, headlights, horn and brakes.

Did I miss out anything?

I realised that my Pilot Sporty rear tyre is actually a 90/80 front tyre. But I see that other motorcycle stores also sell 90/80 as a rear tyre, like unique.

The site confirms that it's a front tyre...

http://www.michelin.ie/motorcycles/michelin-pilot-sporty#tab-tyres-sizes

I do believe the front tyre should not be used on the rear...

Should I be paranoid and change brands?

Talking about tyres... It seems on my X1-R. The rear tyre is wearing out much faster than the front. It's like the weight is all at the back. Anyone else?

It's normal. Rear tyre always wear out faster maybe due to drag.

Inspection also check front light, signal lights, brake light, wheel alightment, sometimes brakes. Heh..

But our bike new model. Unless you mod alot, very easy to pass.. :)

It's said the front and rear tyre profile compliment each other.

So in ur case if the profile now currently on the rear is same as the one it should be then it shall not be a problem.

Cos it is still complimenting one and another.

It boils down to the rider. Do u feel any lack of control or slipping or skidding when ur riding with this set of wheels?

Wat I mentioned is possible.

On my previous bike (2nd hand) front and back tyres different brand therefore unmatching profile.

Road surface slightly moist but not wet.

During braking I could feel rear wheel skid.

Few days later I got it changed front and back to same brand and model.

Traction greatly improved.

I've never skidded any of the tyres before but I do feel that rear tyres deal with constant forces (acceleration, cornering, braking) and that a front tyre may not be able to handle all these forces as they're only used to change directions and brake.

Imma getting my x1-r this coming tuesday..woohoo .. ^_^

Btw all of it is stock part..is it good??mine is 2nd hand

U should be telling us since u getting 2nd hand.

The thing about getting 2nd hand is u should check before buying.

We won't be able to tell u if ur 2nd hand bike is good or not cos we dun see or feel it.

Most salesperson will tell u their product is cos they selling it.

Even if the bike had being through mods salesperson will tell u otherwise.

As a buyer for 2nd hand u should do ur homework before buying.

The bike X1-R by itself is an okie bike.
